Not over the top for a scarcer date.
I can understand streaky lustre on some dates and the fact this has it on both sides.
It was more just showing on one side so much on the previous posts that seemed strange.
They are not the best looking coins.
Its not far off Dan probably closer to EF you should be able to get a really nice one with full lustre for about £40- £60,
If thats a bit expensive the proofs of the same year are cheaper.
Also CGS will re slab a coin that was attributed to there old grading.
78 is now unc so would reslab just showing the number not AU they used to be more harsh than they now are.
I recently bought the 1920 filled die from ebay if thats the coin you mention.
Its BU - UNC and the one that went unsold in the workman sale.
The 1915 filled die i have never seen one for sale in a reasonable grade.
I would be happy with the 1915 recessed ear in EF as not seen anything close to the LCA one.
Its the 2P that is scarce jaggy with the NEW PENCE.
I notice the seller has the other rare 50p aswell.
Looking over the ones that have sold recently they are obviously sought after.
Yes i bought that Jerry.
A nice Gouby x in the next LCA ,although i am led to believe a lot more that are not currently shown.
Dont worry i will find you on the day,as i am sure you can lend me a few quid
Never heard of that Matt , looks weird.
If its part of the mix why has it not affected the obverse ?.
Might be a daft question but never seen one before.
Just had a look CGS have never graded a 1915 Recessed ear ,as i said its not what is ....but weather they have graded/slabbed one.
This is why the finest known is daft.
If you sent a problem free washer would be finest known.
