  1. You sometimes get a funny look if you ask for metho so I will stick to my good old fashioned acetone, thanks. I discovered it years ago and the only coins i have had any bad results with are the darkened farthings 1897-1917
  2. I know Italy has a reputation for art , I am sure if you look overall over the last hundred years or so Italian coins are really hard to beat , forgeting the euros of course

  14. A bit less than 3 million - sorry but unless its totally unc it's unlikely to get any premium at all even after ten years or so . you might do better putting it in a building society

  16. Indeed prob about 3/4 of all 1775 halfpennies are forgeries , but most are made in england and most circulated in the uk (that includes scotland and the whole of ireland. many are evasions with blundered legends All are collected though in really low grade they are worth very little

  19. wow lovely grade looks to me to be EF not many about in that grade
  20. Midlands coin fair for me -every time - loads of dealers and loads of choice - If you have £20 to spend or £20 000 you WILL find something that you like
  21. A Commonwealth games set just look on completed listings on ebay my guess would be £75- £90 not sure about the edin £1 but you could look on ebay again
