  1. If anybody has any photos of coins bought at LCA which were then slabbed and photographed by CGS, it would be interesting to see the comparison.
  2. It means having an opposing point of view.
  3. But just because you do pay, doesn't give you the right to moderate any dissent.
  4. They are. But they are exactly the same quality as those taken for LCGS for which they are charging a fee. To my mind, they are not of sufficient quality to warrant any charge.
  5. If not required, predictive text can be easily turned off.
  6. You may be able to change a setting in your camera to produce JPG files. My Nikon allows me to choose the file formats NEF, NEF & JPG or just JPG.
  7. Regardless of whether their photographic setup is intending to deceive, the fact remains that the photo is not an accurate representation of the subject. Therefore, all of their pictures must be viewed with a healthy dose of scepticism. Given the lack of quality of their pictures, it's even more surprising that they can charge £99 a year just to behold them.
  8. I never knew that looking like a fashion victim was so expensive...
  9. Many congratulations for your new role in the big smoke Neil.
  10. I've tried to explain as clearly as I can, but to no avail. Every time you post, your post count is incremented. Therefore, every single post you've ever made will show that new post count. As you will see, now that I have replied, my post count is no longer 1566.
  11. 399 is the 'reputation' score, not the post count.
  12. Every time you post, your post count increases and every post you have made previously will show that new post count. My post count is currently 1564, until I press submit when I expect both of my replies in this thread to show 1565.
  13. It is for me. I checked my number before posting in the toned silver thread and it had increased by one when I looked afterwards.
  14. Looks too well defined to be a currency crown. My money is on matt proof.
  15. Thanks. I wish that I had a few more Ed VII florins as good as this one.
  16. I do like the coloured tone of the 1911 proofs. I'll bet they are even more colourful than the picture suggests.
  17. I would say that the 1967 is slightly higher grade than the 1965, although not quite as good a strike. Can't see any reason why either would be less than MS 64.
