  1. And check out those import charges on top, bloody hell, $418 on top, that global shipping scheme must have put off a lot of european buyers from buying from eBay sellers who have entered into this agreement
  2. Auctions
  3. Lets not forget the forum owner who is also a coin dealer
  4. I think at todays exchange rate its exactly Spink 2015 book price for UNC £185
  5. One for the penny boys, apparently the rarest date of George V and explaining otherwise will be futile, he just dismissed the 1918 and 19KNs 1926ME 1922 Rev 27 and 1933 at a stroke http://internumi.com/en/george-v-1910-36/434-great-britain-george-v-penny-1932-rarest-date-top-pop-ngc-ms-65-bn.html
  6. Opinions are relevant Geordie, but if You take My 2 examples of The indy referendum and then The General election, if we were to believe Cameron on both counts that The Scots were dangerous and then Labour was dangerous we'd then believe that only The Conservatives Are The only safe party. Every single person on who talks on the TV about in/out or Independence or not or vote conservative because Labour are dangerous all have agendas, do we get The correct facts or their OWN version of something because they want your vote.... Scaring The masses through the Biased Broadcasting Company otherwise known as The BBC is a great tactic because People will believe what they hear if you scare them enough.
  7. Again, he's just doing what Obama was doing for the Government when he spoke and said that they (UK) shouldn't leave the UK, they did they same during the indy ref when they said the Scots were dangerous etc etc etc, then during the GENERAL ELECTION the Labour party were dangerous, everybody is dangerous should you listen to people like this. It's those who Are in power who are the Most dangerous
  8. Should it be found to be a fake i would also be asking for the costs to be paid back also, but i think you're doing the right thing
  9. Funnily enough it has nothing to do with America, just like the Americans voting for a racist Presidential nominee is nothing to do with us, but god help us if Trump actually becomes President. It sounds like Paul Weston was brought in as Trumps helper, speaking like a racist with the "them and us" speech. Just another Nick Griffin
  10. Trying to grab money due to a few more slabs being done per year, this is going to end in tears, it's onviously not been thought through how much money they're about to lose. I guess agents are probably the ones who only sell their slabs such as jnwcoins at a guess
  11. Baldwins have printed a book on the Jubilee head sovereigns, you can view it with the link and is also available to buy on the baldwins website https://issuu.com/jammdesign/docs/jubilee_brochure/1
  12. Auction catalogues can be downloaded in PDF form. I started Doing this Last year and saved them onto a USB stick inside a folder, no need to pay out £25 for each catalogue, if there's one of specific interest You might be able to pick it up at a later date through eBay or a dealer. Rob has quite a few of these and also Alan at MHCOINS has started selling some As well.
  13. About 12-18 months ago another Fake was spotted in a slab, sure it was a Henry VIII groat and cannot remember if it was PCGS or NGC, it was spotted by coinery and The thread will be around here somewhere. The fact it's slabbed should'nt make one complacent and i'd certainly entertain the idea of sending it back if there was any shred of doubt (which there seems to be) but it's your coin and You have to make they'd call, just personally saying that it would continually nag me and you now have The chance to get a little more peace of mind.....
  14. Spink are currently selling The Stewartby Collection over several sales, their catalogues might also be of use although only The 1st part has currently passed through The auction
  15. A Link to The Book in question http://www.galata.co.uk/store.asp?storeAction=showDetail&stockID=6511
  16. I would reccommend that You buy a book or 2 first, leaping into The unknown without a little knowledge can be a dangerous and expensive thing
  17. Nice groat Matteo, i would reccommend this book for your Library and very easy to use and inexpensive http://www.greenlightpublishing.com/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=9452038
  18. Checking wikipedia ist just says both Are privately owned
  19. I think I saw somewhere on youtube the Chinese using some sort of machine which was scanning a coin and at the same time creating the fake.
  20. The only concern i would have is that if NGC failed to notice the possible fake in the first place then you'd lose all trust in their second viewing. I'd be more insistent that someone who genuinely has more experience with British coins and fakes takes a good look at it, but still its a step in the right direction of peace of mind. Keep us up to date with what's happening
  21. according to the PCGS website the certificate number is correct, the coin looks fake for sure, so i'd assume that its a fake holder and they've used the cert number from a genuine coin. The other thing to note is that it would be a 10k coin in that grade, for me its a fake definitely
  22. The single exergue line is quite rare
  23. That's the one I sold Steve and was bought from CC
