  1. I sometimes wonder if these grades and prices are just gimmicks Its a £50 coin at best. I also wonder if there is an idiot out there who will buy that. His musing of it being finest graded is obviously the hook for numpty slab buyers
  2. Made 1 Proxy bid today.
  3. A good picture goes a Long way when selling a coin through the internet
  4. What like Heritage pushing the prices still higher. Heritage doesn't push prices higher. Bidders push prices higher. Up to you to decide how high you want to go. Sorry, you should Quote slab buyers push prices Jaggy. Does'nt really help when Heritage start the ball Rolling at an ungoldy amount in the first place either
  5. What like Heritage pushing the prices still higher.Yes that as well but not entirely what i meant. What i meant was perhaps buying Outwith your means thinking you have enough time to pay and/or buying the coin at way over market prices. Perhaps this is why their prices are stratospheric and the reason the market in America for British coins is hyperinflated
  6. I received a reply back now saying the extra charge was for packaging, but the packaging consisted of a bit of bubblewrap thinly wrapped around the 2 coins i bought and a padded envelope, cost, perhaps 50p yet the 1st email says it was for insurance. Robbing Bar stewards
  7. Stuart.............Dundee booked for the 25th June for a week
  8. It can also be a dangerous thing
  9. If it helps i believe Chris our Forum leader is looking for stuff. I have bidded on one, Do you have a list of what too expect?
  10. £8000-£10000 is a hell of an estimate
  11. 3 over 1 and 3 over 2 are both recorded Stuart, was just curious myself how they got a 1 from that 2, as you say Rob/Stuart, perhaps it was an error in their listing, but it's also on the invoice. Speaking of which, the robbing gits charged me 14 quid for postage and it has 8.30 GBP on the PO ticket. I emailed and asked why there was a discrepancy of 5.70 GBP and she said it was their internal insurance, i then proceeded to tell her i was from the UK and that airsure with insurance of 500 GBP only costs 11 quid and asked that if i bidded again that this should be how my items are posted in future as their internal insurance seems to be very expensive. NO REPLY SINCE..................Strange that
  12. And the whole coin
  13. This arrived today from the last Locdales sale, described as 1763/1 but looks more like 1763/2 to me. Anyone else
  14. The Health benefits are the most important. There's a new gym/Sauna/Swimmingpool and Wellness thingymajig opening up about 5 mins away from where i live and i've signed up for 18 months of pain.
  15. Darn it. I was hoping no-one else would spot them... Errrr yes ok Declan lol. How's the no smoking doing?
  16. That coin is the 2013 Birth of Prince George proof 5 pound. That coin cost $130 at issue, plus $30-40 for submission/grading. While I still don't think it's worth the $329 asking price, it's a far cry from $450 for a coin that can be had for $30. Also, that "import fees" part of eBay is a complete farce. The shipping in the US is free from that seller, and eBay is likely making a killing on these types of coins when they add this "import charge" to them. This (among other reasons) is why I never sell on eBay outside the 50 US states. You are correct, i concede that one, i must get Glasses. On the Import tax subject, apparently the seller must oot into it, but i said before that ebay or someone is making Profit from this practise and really something should be done about it because they are asking for far more money in Import tax than the Import tax that would be due
  17. Another festival of Britain, this one is only $329 131109315616 Now we know who's pushing prices, so many idiot collectors who are basically buying into plastic P.s, there's also $78 in import charges on this, i think the import charges alone makes the coin expensive
  18. For the fellow dinosaurs. I saw something the othe day that made me smile. It was a post that was flying around Facebook land. It said: My Internet went down last week and had to speak to the Family..................They seemed like nice People lol
  19. Dislike is the opposite of like. If you liked something by accident you have the opportunity to unlike it. There is no dislike function, it would hurt too many egos, especially on here
  20. Thanks peeps, all confirmed now.
  21. Well thats an absolute joke of an Archive site. Says it cannot find it even when giving the exact date. Ok so i'm looking for realised Price and description of lot 567
  22. Has anyone a link to realised prices of Spink 207 please? (null)
  23. Its only my FB account Chris. What i as saying was it would be a good feature to use particularly in the "coin aquisition of the week" thread if you can't be bothered writing something but like the coin that was uploaded. have you asked your Hosting company about something like this?
