  1. Check the DNW catalogue for September, there is also a small head in GEF
  2. Here you go Paul. Next DNW sale, Sept, graded as GEF 150-200 Estimate
  3. Just too confuse matters, i'd get rid of both and put the Money towards another, i much prefer the bullhead HCs of George III. The 1818 has a thumbprint on the OBV, you can get a bullhead for maybe around the 300 GBP mark
  4. John, at those grades i doubt it would matter about polishing, These are more or less bullion value.
  5. More to the point, Perhaps we should recognise a new Dick Turpin.
  6. If you look at Stuarts picture post 41 three of the coins have a small nick coming from Henrys mouth. The last picture i don't see that little feature. I'm inclined to say the CGS one is kosha but the other 3 are'nt due to the 1 same nick in the same place on the other three coins. The other thing regarding CGS valuations, do they actually update them yearly? If not the website valuation could be out hence the difference in the 2 prices. These Henry pieces seem to have been doing well of late (the better stuff that is)
  7. Britannians hand has some wear though

    Churchill

Which might prompt yet another RM commemorative!A commemorative of the Churchill commemorative
  9. Exactly, the LC one i just quoted looks worse than the ebay one
  10. A 2013 Londoncoins EF graded sold for £460 or $773
  11. azda

    Churchill

I think 1 or 2 of our members have lost their minds. It happens to us all eventually
  12. Its an auction lot Bob, so all is fair game
  13. I had an email arrive about some unsold lots they had for 30% under the estimate, underneath they had a link to some British farthings they were selling on the bay, 1844 Geo I etc. I'm sure it will interest some of our members or upset them lol http://www.ebay.com/itm/K60-Great-Britain-Victoria-Farthing-1844-VF-Rare-/301201831533?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item462107366d (null)
  14. If it was used for several hours then the coins would have never reached circulation before finding out they had reused the same die, the would/should have then went back and check what had been minted.
  15. Word does'nt come as Standard fullstop in Windows, you pay for the add ons, or Download it for free
  16. http://www.irishcoins.com
  17. I visited Dachau concemtration camp, that was spine chilling. Dachau was the model for all other camps, seeing where the ovens were located gave me goosebumps. Just about a km away was the SS firing range in which they used 4000 Russian POWs as live targets. I may, if no one objects, go back and take some pictures for you all, when o have a little time, its something which i think should be seen IMO so that we never forget what happened in these camps and never forget the sacrifices of so many.
  18. But if he's already had it for 10 years raw i'd see no point now for a slab if it was just for storage, unless as you say that its for selling on
  19. Hello and welcome. If you've already had the coin for 10 years raw then why feel the need now to slab it? Is it for authenticity purposes?
  20. And right there is what is wrong with the ebay feedback system, its an absolute joke
  21. Your problem is now that the toning is seen in and around the legend but not in the fields, those now look too clean. Your pictures are'nt the best and you've probably taken them indoors under artificial light which does'nt really help when asessiing the coin, but thats my opinion from what i can see
  22. NVF for me but i laughed when the owner said "i'm sending to PCGS and it better come back as AU at least" sorry, but it has'nt a chance of getting that grade. PCGS Grade, probably XF
  23. We don't really do MS grades here, good old fashioned EFs or UNCs etc, Peck gave it a GEF though which i think would be about an AU American grade, but problem being that its been cleaned and perhaps dipped now that the TPGs can recognise this, so it might be down to XF by now if it were sent to a TPG. They'd stick that on the Label also i believe. Its a bit like the Black Death was, its branded unclean and stick a large X On it lol
  24. So, there you have it...a piece of £20 silver delivered for £117...bargain!Paulus' link (thanks, by the way!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151310748742?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D151310748742%26_rdc%3D1 And this is why ebay is such a mess. 58 bids is a joke, and this does'nt trigger anything within ebay
  25. Jaggy if you had of told me this in 2010 when i first started collecting lol......... Look at the date of the post
