I bought this one recently and invited opinions on grade, i won't say yet where its from, but your grading opinions would be appreciated. I don't have the coin in Hand yet.

Peck you may have missed a few things here. 1 we don't want trident anyway. 2, they're closing another shipyard on the Clyde, and 3 Scotland does Have its own Pound Scotland also has its own foodbanks amd considering that Scotland should look like Dubai and not beruit i find it disgusting in the 21st Century that people have to beg to eat in the Western World I don't see Bank Of England on this Note and as English Shops more often than not refuse too take Scottish notes not having am English pound is really nothing new

I'm with Peck on this one regarding being rubbed/dusted with a cloth. The lines don't seem harsh enough for cleaning IMO, but the light and dark Patches at 3 and 9 oclock on the REV is a strange one. Grade, i'd be happy to say EF maybe a smidge more

Yes, well overgrader and cleaner of coins, one of ebays finest although even his coin prices have taken a massive dip, he used to have many friends help his auctions along in a very big way, but i feel some satisfaction now due to even his prices being crap. Justification, word of mouth or just the fact ebay has taken a huge dip in the coin sales area, who knows but even he's struggling now to get top end money. His latest (a reportedly UNC florin) description quoted Spink at £750 and he got just over £200, maybe buyers are also getting better at grading

There's about 30 Pages plus dedicated to slabs amd grading. 99% of people are of the opinion that they'd rather feel a coin than a plastic slab. Paul i believe slabs his coins before selling as he believes that he'll achieve a higher price when listed on ebay (correct me of i'm wrong Paul). I'm not sure if Paul actually has any coins in his own collection that has been slabbed by CGS, again you can correct me Paul.Personally, its each to their own how they want to keep their coins, it's just not for me or a majority here, it's mostly Americans that go in for that and expect afterwards that the same coin should quadruple in value because of what the slab says, but as we've seen mamy many times American TPGs cannot grade British coins correctly, nor identify them or fakes properly. Just saying

a blatant number 4 would'nt need confirming. If its to be sold the auction house wouöd also confirm what it is, so no point in wasting £30 and 3 months wait on confirmation.
