    I was execting this to be about a penny not a cent. i think in terms of foriegn dealers you have to remember they will know far less about our currency then we will. it is the same with ours and other currencies. they have thier books but really.

    yes it does, so would be a bit of value. the jeton is a very common one, from around the same period as the gunmoney piece, but there were a few differant legends and designs. Nuremberg Jeton of Hans Krauwinkel II - have a browse for those, they were made between 1536-1635 couple of mine note the differant legends, so could be some value if you can find out more.

    i dunno about roman silver, but arn't some roman silver coins plated?

    i like toned coins, especially EF as that damage is caused by the slight handling the coin has had, working the silver over long periods

    MS state can't be toned, as it wasnt toned when it left the mint. i like a good toner, but there are things there that make it look more random, purples etc, i bet it would look differant in differant light, but i dont get where yellow has come from here.

    it is the case for all of them. even if they die in january of that year, the monarch at the start of the year is on the coins.

    i would go with the dies as well. it is still better then the quality of curculation coins, so much low relief junk all over the world now

    well if the royal mint want to do any more sets, always the chelsea manager 50p's royal mint need to make profits? they litteraly make money ffs

    that colour is possible, but not like that no toning on the shield, yet on some strange parts of the head, i would see legends as toning hotspots and around the portrait and in the shield, but in that grade i would just expect a dull grey

    yes, i know about the great depression, but it didnt stop the massive ammounts of silvers did it and yes why is 1933 a sought after date in UK too

    looks like 5 over a recut 5 imo, nothing to say there was another number other then a 5
