  1. Ch11 to W111 are out of my depth with varieties as they were with Peck. Quality control was non existent..... G1 & 2 cause problems as well. I upgrade a date but it is different to what I have...so I keep both....it goes on and on. I think you need to set your own agenda with these and maybe one day we can all meet up to chew the fat.
  2. This is the rare 1912H in GVF ish http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400845958830?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Less than £7 I believe it was a good buy and will be an improver for my daughters collection
  3. Google 1658 Cromwell shilling and see what they have been going through London Coins auctions. You can get a nice one for less than £1k the guy is deluded.
  4. If I was going to spend £4k on a coin couldn't live with that. It would be worth nothing to me....although there is a guy in the states who does brilliant repairs.
  5. Excellent book Chris. George 11 next
  6. CGS are generating their own pricing structure as have the main 3 TPG's in the US. I ordered CCGB 2015 and Coin news pricing book.
  7. Nice coin Pete. I realize I must up my game.
  8. Lordshill I have a pile of CM bigger than a pair of dddddd's I will go thru them to find what you want. Oh CM come back and replace the crap coin news.
  9. I mentioned this a few years ago that a 1865 1/4d with a HUGE edge knock went through London Coins auction and ended up in a CGS slab which covered this up. This sort of thing doesn't go unnoticed by the pre decimal police. I've bought a few slabs from CC because I trust them. An edge knock would be a big NO. My MG had a scratch (daughter wheel barrow mix) she denied it although my other daughter saw her doing it £300 later and she confessed. I've had cups of tea on tap and my hair combed.
  10. I must clean the floor as my tounge keeps hitting it.
  11. Shite i've lost a year.
  12. What have you tried a few times, Peter? I 've tried to open on your link....I think Mrs Peter has banned all coin related stuff. When I receive a coin or book I'm like a big slobbery puppy...she likes that... Must get back to the kitchen.
  13. As an aside. I took my 81 year old mother shopping tonight and all she could do is praise my sister who lives 200 miles away and that I don't do enough for her. I've decorated her bungalow, sorted a new bathroom and phone her most days.Shop every week. My wonderful sister buggered off 30 yrs ago. She comes down about every 6/8 weeks and take her out for a meal and maybe a bit of gardening work.Mum has enough £ to employ gardeners odd job men It was the same with my mothers parents. One of her sisters went to Auz and the other to US. My poor dad was left in charge, walking their dog, shopping, bingo lift. BUT.............Tonight she said I can buy a £500 coin because I'm not a bad lad...I didn't see that coming.
  14. Tried it a few times and nothing happens.
  15. I will say it as I see it. I wouldn't want it due to eye appeal. It is too blotchy for me.
  16. Any thing you are missing I can probably help. Although I'm sure Rob has done the job.
  17. I'm sure he got some cream for that.
  18. Paulus But there again you can't describe a coin as poor on ebay....or can you? That would of gone in my pre 1920 scrap pot. It would be nice as a pocket piece.
  19. It's all a bit WITH WINGS.
  20. Declan did a remarkable tooling job on that 67 1d to turn it into a 04d.
  21. Jordon (Katie Price) thought deflation is a smart idea.
  22. Nice tokens Brandon. Heads up for you. John Newman coins has a large selection of tokens in his ebay shop.

    Books

Welcome Picard I would suggest Spinks book or Coincrafts 2000 edition. With these two you should be able to ID most things. Post a picture on here and we will help.
