  1. It is a nice F139 2mm anyway.
  2. I think that Dafuk would be appropriate for this grade as well.
  3. What an idiot, i bet that he is not smiling now.
  4. Now that would be good.
  5. My thought exactly.
  6. Lack of common sense maybe?
  7. Yes indeed, I doubt if the fields are lower than usual.
  8. Rendall Ingram has one listed as 8/6, aunc for £275. I cannot say if it is the real deal.
  9. Nice pics Larry. The first could be a double struck E over R, the second pic I have no idea what is overstruck, the third looks like E over R, the fourth is basically identical to the first pic. Just my opinions.
  10. The English pennies website has a note about Note 18.
  11. They are in my 2015 6th edition.
  12. They are very interesting figures from those Auction Houses. I like the idea of a puncheon with the word "onc" being made by mistake and then worn out or destroyed, but there must have been a lot of them for that to happen over 7 years, so i do not know what to think. As for the amount of 1854 florins in your survey compared to other years, then i would say it could be because the other years with "onc" in fine condition or worse, do not get sold at auction because of the much lower value than the 1854 florin. To be honest, i had not really given too much thought how this might have happened before your post. Interesting subject though David.
  13. Absolutely, I agree totally.
  14. I would call that one a "Falling Scotsman"
  15. It just does not look 'Right' anyway. Strangely high price for a 'Copy' too.
  16. Davies does not list any different numbers of pearls, just the position of the top cross. Probably blockages like you said.
  17. I got some very nice George iii coins from John Welsh in the nineties. Very nice to deal with I remember.
  18. Early January I would guess.
  19. If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, it is a rat and should not be bought. Just my opinion.
  20. Yes, looks green. I thought that they called it green toning or patina these days😁
  21. I think that i missed out this time, 0 wins from 4 bids. London Coins website is still down, but i have not received any email from them, so i guess that it means no wins.
  22. Maybe the sellers could mention what the actual reserve is, before the auction finishes.
