  1. I thought it sensible, as many experienced members on the forum have seen huge numbers of repairs over the years, to have a separate "help with repairs topic." It seems to be a niche interest, possibly because there are so many different examples. But on the plus side, they are affordable and gives a learning opportunity for amateurs like me. I thought I'd kick off with what I think is a circulated 1860 D+d penny ? where I think we have a T next to T in Britt ? followed by a T over something maybe an I ? (On a more worn example the T next to T would look like a wide slightly off centre downstroke) For anyone interested it would be great to get your thoughts and maybe see examples from your collection

  2. I don't keep tabs on all the repairs - too many - but they're good to know for die identification etc. Agree with T over T for the first - maybe T over I for the second but the I looks short?

  3. 1879 Halfpennies just checking my ID's are correct ? Looking back at my original 1879, I think it's probably the state of the coin, but QV's forehead looks slightly different Best Regards
