  1. This person really is the scum of the earth. A while ago I emailed him/her politely correcting an Ebay entry for a penny described wrongly as Freeman 76 (as I recall) and the reply was "Who do you think you are - Michael Freeman ?"

  2. Shelly has featured before in these pages, and has been trying to sell these at more than ten times value for months. There is an F6, but there are no other beaded border coins despite the claims, and no rarities. Shelly also often polishes the coins, and over-grades in home slabs. He/she can also be quite abusive for no obvious reason, I have a sequence of increasingly bizzaire emails to which I did not respond following a request for a price on a coin in another of the strange multi-coin ads sometimes posted. I would not buy from this seller. Jerry

  4. Amusing that they should choose to quote from a forum called 'predecimal' about a 2009 50p!

  5. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Paul O don't take It personally, you were looking to sell, offers were made you did not want to take them up and you decided to sell elsewhere. Hope you sold them but that does not stop us making a comment or two. Grow up and stop acting liking a child. It's just a coin.

  7. I have been doing a massive survey of modern pennies. Friends and family just keep dropping them off. So far I have about £70 worth and another £40 coming. Only portcullis types, so 1971-2008. Kneck and shoulder are killing me but enjoying it and finding lots of interesting things. Will post results and info once its all finished being collated.
