Seriously? Or joking? If you really have, are you up for selling one of them?
-
I would say poor strike, as the lettering on the garter is perfect, and that's among the first areas to wear. Difficult to grade without seeing in hand, but I would say the second one is AUNC.

Seems ok for me now. I did block an IP range and there are about 200 guests online at the moment. As soon as you block one though, it does virtually nothing as they use a load of different IP addresses. Don't think it's malicious at the moment. Probably training an AI or who knows. -
many thanks Paddy, you example clarifies the No 5 on my worn one, its one I can keep as a space filler until I come across another, Many thanks and all the very best , π

I guess we are under attack again as everything very slow... -
Paddy started following Schilling Date 1839 or 1859 ?
-
I would say the second is definitely 1859. Here is a snip of mine for comparison. It is a common confusion - we often see either mis-labelled on Ebay and even on proper auctions.
-
Ummmmmm! In the attached photo is 2 x Schillings, the upper one is dated 1839 and is clear to see, the lower one.....? could it be 1859 ? or disfigured 1839 ?? any opinions appreciated. π

Victorian 1844-45 Crowns, Cinquefoil and Stars
wlewisiii replied to Citizen H's topic in Free for all
Oh, cool. I'd never noticed the cinquefoil stops on my 1845 crown. Learn something new every day. -
Two half crowns I have collected over the years. Both have good obverses with the King's ear intact. The reverse however shows wear/poor strike on the to the top of the shield lions and Scottish lion. An opinion on this wear as against poor strike would be welcome. Again an opinion on the grade of these coins would be appreciated
-
Yes, that one is definitely a Star stop.

Does seem a bit excessive. Many of them have the same 43.173. or 43.172 IP address range. I'll see what I can do. -

Given there are 240 guests on atm, I suspect a few more gremlins. A few will be genuine, most won't be. -

Should be ok now. At least the liking works and I just liked all the posts above. Adding images also seems to work. -

I was also getting the account suspended thing. The host said the site was attacked by a DDOS attack (late on the 21st). It didn't last long but perhaps there are still a few wrinkles that need to be ironed out. -

I never logout so can't comment on that. However if I try to see messages or notifications, it just spins forever without letting me in to see anything. Also, I can't seem to 'Like' posts - there's just a warning message about 'reacting to this content'. -
