Rob Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 That's complete and utter garbage. Why should any pen be particularly appropriate for women? Marketing people get too tied up in their own drivel. Reminds me of the Sky advert which says 'believe in better'. I do - that's why I haven't bothered with a Murdoch mouthpiece. Quote
Debbie Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 Well of course it is Rob!......... Er did you read the reviews? Quote
Rob Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Well of course it is Rob!......... Er did you read the reviews? The three listed are on a par with the advert - as relevant and serious (not) as the product blurb. Quote

Galbraith - See all my reviews(REAL NAME) This review is from: Box Canvas Print of Paul RossI used to be a very successful insurance salesman at AIG. I had riches beyond belief: Faberge Eggs; Brut Aftershave, also by Faberge; a diamond encrusted Rolex; lime green Lamborghini; monogrammed slippers; a piano shaped toilet that once belonged to Liberace and a 16 ft pyramid of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Some friends at the country club let me in on this secret that all the old money had canvas printed photos of Paul Ross, so I bought one at auction. There was something wonderful and majestic about it, some people say the enigmatic smile is a knowing reference to his Merovingian ancestry. It hung for 3 years above the alabaster fireplace in my drawing room, replacing Munch's Scream, which I borrowed from a friend who was also in the insurance business. But over time there was something unsettling about the picture. At first it sounded like it emitted a high pitched, almost imperceptible, tone, like an old TV set. Then it started whispering things to me. After a while it started telling jokes and then giving me stock tips. Eventually it recommended I invest all my money with a guy called Bernie Madoff. Now I have nothing, I get high by sucking anti-freeze from car windscreen washers, and even had to take public transport. My only possession is this picture of Paul Ross. It is my love, my life. He completes me.Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? Five in the bedroom and one in the downstairs loo. What makes this box canvas print of Paul Ross so breathtakingly magical is the way that his cheeks catch the light at certain times during the day. I could never get the same effect on any of my laminated B*Witched posters. So far I've found that the ideal lighting comes in at around mid-dusk. If, like me, you decide to place one of your Ross's in a windowless toilet I recommend keeping a torch handy so that you can mimic the light fall.I spent the entire Jubilee weekend in this manner.Just to warn you, and this more of a perk really, about a week ago one of our Ross's started whispering sex words in Danish. So far I've heard him say "moist", "thrust" and "candle" ("fugtig", "fremdrift" and "stearinlys"). He doesn't do this often, and only our toilet Ross seems to be affected. It's usually when someone has forgetten to flush the toilet or if he can hear Fiona Bruce speaking on the telly from the other room. If you're a fan of Danish crime dramas you'll love this feature, it really does add great background ambiance. It's also the perfect excuse not to flush the toilet for a few days and save money on your water bill. Just make sure you leave the loo door so you can hear him.My girlfriend insists that one of our Ross's propositioned her last Tuesday with what she called a "barrage of filth and bile" when she was getting her socks out of the wardrobe. I think this was down to canvas positioning rather than anything else so I won't knock a star off for that.Technical Specs: The box canvas is printed using Fujifilm water based pigment ink (not Giclee as some others have pointed out) on 7,000 thread flame retardant yak hide. This item was very well packaged and came with 3 screws and a sledge hammer. This really is a fabulous piece. I've had no use for any of my B*witched posters since purchasing these. Yes they 'did the job', but Paul, is just... better.  Quote

I know TV personalities are full of themselves, but the cost of production must be outweighed by the public's indifference towards them. I always remember as a child, being in Bristol shopping centre with my parents when one of the local TV presenters came up and said hello and started rabbiting on about something. My parents looked at him blankly. It would have been about 1970, and we didn't have a TV at the time. Clearly famous in his own lunchtime. Quote

Debbie Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 Also Paul Ross is hardly iconic sex symbol fodder (hence the taking the michael reviews) I also love the fact that on the link to the actual canvas it shows that people who actually bought the item also bought “Fifty Shades of Grey†deduce what you will (you probably do need to be female to appreciate that one) Quote
