Peter Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Scott wins it with a bid of 7p I don't understand why people bother. Quote
Rob Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 7p? wouldn't pay 2p for it Bad call. With the scrap man paying £4/kg for copper and at roughly 100 pennies to the kg, that's 4p value in scrap. Buying 4p's for 2p's is a no-brainer. Even with the exact figures it works. Quote
scott Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 yes but i wont pay that, 1p i might stretch to Quote

Tony Clayton's site shows a price guide of £19,000 in UNC, so £39,500 in EF, even GEF looks OTT, even if it is a difficult and rare coin to find. However, if you are a shilling collector with very deep pockets then I guess you'll pay this price for a coin date you otherwise might never own. Quote

That said, if I wanted one (which I did once) I'd be inclined to wait and see if it goes down a bit, or at least became open to offers. Quote

TomGoodheart Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 BLOODY USELESS EBAY! With the new look I now have text from my search terms across the results and the price range for searches is stuck between £52 and £618. WTF? Honestly if it's not fixed by tomorrow (today now) morning it's really not worth using any more. A site as big as ebay without a working search function is pointless. Quote

A site as big as ebay without a working search function is pointless. You can fix the price range thing, Tom. Left hand side of the search page, look down for the Price bar, and hit customise. Then you'll get a little dialog with a box in it where you can type your range. The old boxes are just one layer further in.Yes, the search terms do mash up with the top of the results - not sure what we can do about that! Quote
