Do you have a before and after of the obverse?

IMO coin looks slightly strange , looks like the dirt stoped wear and now the coin shows most wear in the centre where the dirt never protected it , a shame really your cleaning HAS improved the coin but only put its sellability up slightly , great experience though i hope for you .

At least it looks like a silver coin again by the way .

Looks better IMO .

Otherwise and my way is...... if you think it needs cleaning and dont like it then dont buy it.

Chances are you will never be happy with it and after cleaning it  nobody else wants it either.

Pete.

Think I am in the leave it alone camp on this one. I like the toned look of the coin prior to dipping. There is so much more life in the coin. The face has depth and a warmth that comes with the natural toning. The dipping has stripped that away and left a featureless silver. Just my personal opinion for what ever thats worth.
