I have emailed Bill P to find out who has purchased the company

Why not try Semra :)

Dont see why Bill needs to corespond with you ,after not being happy with him before.

I am not unhappy with BIll , he defended the company to the hilt..

If anyone knows who the new owner is , it will be Bill

Good luck with your court case.

You will have to keep us informed

Can i ask why cgs as an AGENCY would be responsible for telling you ....The coin you bought was RANG

Just thought I would put up a picture of a "TANG" coin

Comments welcome...........................................

Although maybe starting to retone :)

Maybe not worth very much (as much as you paid) and possibly worth sending back to the seller ....sure he will give you your money back.

If you ask nicely and put a smile on your face i am sure can be resolved :)

And when I try to get the seller to take the coin back , how do I explain the damage to the coin caused by CGS !

I think we need to stop here , court date in September......

Hope one of the big 3 from the States have got it ,employ correct staff and service customers US style.

If they propose NORMAL SERVICES they can do one.

Will look to you posting the outcome.

In my opinion for whats its worth.

1. not a chance.

2. More chance of being hit by lightning.

The coin is real but been cleaned...unfortunately you think its been toooled

Damage done by CGS ......what a load of TRIPE.

Good luck Swanny.I really do hope you get the right outcome. I would never trust them following what I saw them do to a 1865 1/4d.(Slabbed a heavily edged knocked example, coveniently hiding the knock).

Under new management :o

I just don't understand. Why did CGS introduced their ridiculous "elite membership" for £499 if new management was imminent?

CGS IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

AFTER A BRIEF PERIOD OF RESTRUCTURING
NORMAL SERVICES WILL RESUME

Above is the response from CGS Site, the third line is worrying, I would have hoped for improvement!

Perhaps it was the idea of the new management, perhaps all their changes were coming from the new management. Will be interesting to find out who it is eventually

LCAexit...shock horror.Maybe a remain protest at Sundays Midland. With the $/Euro so high against the £ internet auctions will face a lot of competion outside from the UK (and I don't mean ebay)

Unfortunately maybe a couple of people paid it.

Out of order and really annoying .

Sure its nothing to do with the business model moving forward ,more lets get as much out of it while we can .

As i said above, i wonder if this new pricing has come from the new owners, i think people paying this sort of money need to know who's now exactly in charge before parting with a wedge

It's of course possible that the new pricing came from the new owners / shareholders. Having said that, the fact the the website was closed down just yesterday by the new management for "restructuring" would suggest that they were not responsible for the previous changes.

In any case "new management" could simply mean a new general manager (which presumably was Semra previously).  It doesn't necessarily mean new owners or shareholders. The London Coins website is still claiming that that London Coins Holding owns 51% of CGS.
