  1. It's a nice coin and a genuine error IMO. I will be surprised if it sells for under £100.
  2. Some bunch that, but not to forget there are some genuine looking sovereigns made in the latter half of the 19th century, when Beirut was the market leader in churning out fakes. Before getting too excited list the worst looking coin through Baldwin’s and see what you get for it. Let's hope you are lucky.
  3. I would like to think so. The 1861 pennies with a slightly higher 1 in date have concave grooves on the area above the date. Both the 1860 and 1861 pennies with re-entered colon dots after the trailing D of F : D have a small bulge on the linear circle next to the :
  4. Jerry is right this is an obv 3 so the year would be important to put a value on the coin. Terry's penny is a Freeman 2 with the A of Victoria pointing to a tooth and this coin has the A pointing to a gap. Estimates for the coin in XF+ grade would be in the range of £80 for 1860, upwards of £2000 for 1861 and over £3500 if it’s an 1862.
  5. With the 1909 1 to tooth there are under 20 coins in existence.

It's one of em types that I've not come across in anything over fair but at that price I'd rather wait for one better. Just as I would have liked this one for £550 but at over £1200 I am better off waiting.
  7. I don't know about Sweden never been that far up North but the giftshops of most museums or castles here in the UK regularly stock these as souvenirs.
  8. The harp in a Edwardian hc along with the I of HONI and P of PENSE are the first places to suffer from circulation. With this specimen the harp strings are intact even when other features of the coin reveal a great degree of wear. SPOOKY
  9. Not with the early Vicky Bronze but with Edwardian bronze it is definately something to consider IMO. Certainly including the 1944 second 4 over a tooth.
  10. If they have COAs then they are likely to be modern proofs. Sorry to be so blunt but nothing to get too excited about unless you post some pictures.
  11. I was lucky with the bookies yesterday for predicting the 2 – 0 result and for having Nani and Ronaldo as goal scorers. To celebrate my small fortune I am going to rollover my winnings from the forum to the person that gets the next game’s score right. 1 - 0 to Germany with Gomes to score in the 64th minute
  12. Portugal 2 - Wales 0 - 17 minutes in for the first goal
  13. Larger than life personality.
  14. He was missed badly at Spink
  15. Many happy returns!
  16. Looks AU to me so brave of you to part with it.
  17. Now that's what I'd call mirrorlike fields
  18. There was one on ebay for 800 quid a few days back.
