This guy's even selling it with a C.O.A (NO TIMEWASTERS) or does he mean wise people telling him he's a crook £1000 guess which one is his Struck to proof standard Really? Strange the C..O.A doesn't have RM on it . Looks like a cutting from a news article? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-Q-V-SILVER-GOTHIC-CROWN-1847-No-Time-Wasters-Please/263316076040

Surely not? really resurrecting 200 year old dies from the vaults to restrike anniversary coins? Damn these are pretty impressive. I can see these fooling many esp the reverse. If the wish desired https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1797-Cartwheel-George-III-KGIII-Two-Penny-2d-nice-coin-200th-anniversary/152779062205

same 6 on the 1886 and they all look fake. Report the fraudster. that other guy made 7.5k on fake kew's. This is some serious wonga going missing from innocent folk. Surely there is some kind of fraud watch for crying out loud. It is clearly apparent to me now if it wasn't before Ebay is a scam site and should carry a 3/10 trustworthy rating. Might kick them in the backside to police the site. They quote all these subsection rules and conditions but don't do anything about it. I want to report ebay for soliciting criminal entity's to run rife through their site. Where do I go?

I wouldn't buy it. Can't put my finger on it but it don't look right. Might just be the awful picture

It's in that safe place

Looks ok just bad lighting by the widow sun out and curtains giving it a weird look.? Again I learned the hard way like most of us . Things that are just out of focus or just not sure are cleverly designed that way for a reason normally. Not all but most

This is just random from a selection of near unc coins that had decent pics well nearly all There are more variants to the 1897 than first glance tells. Hopefully you can see what I am trying to explain on the pictures The Number 7 has different font styles Some are straight legged and have a shallow angle with the outside edge of the leg finishing before the the hook part serif at the top . Some are tapered legged with a gentle curve down and away to the right Also finishing if drawing a straight vertical line somewhere in the middle of the top bar of the 7. Also a much wider angle curved leg with the LH edge of the leg vertical line reaches the very edge of the top bar. All the 1's favour pointing to the tooth or a nats left but 1 is decidedly favouring almost the gap . three style 9's in regard head size and the inner circular gap Small medium and large a 1898 style 8 with the cross sections out of line various pointings of the 7 . Obviously needs further investigation . Throws up a few different styles . What say you Ladies and gentlemen?

You called it Coins as rare as that I would stake my life come with some form of provenance side apart from it looking like a complete fake . I was going to add perhaps it has come to the stage where only slabbed authenticated coins will be saleable and raw coins not even if they came with C.O.A the C.O.A would probably be fake as well

Iread he produced what we call today portfolio's for actresses and put together albums for well to do families. I would say the girl is no more than 11 or 12 god knows what she is wearing it looks like parts of tree limbs in the lower middle a kilt perhaps? Could be Scottish I did notice a pattern like a tartan somewhere on the back part of the dress

Evening all. Just about to launch my pre xmas listings. Unrecorded 1696 over sideways 8 Shilling William III Bristol mint. Just want to check that this is the scarce variety with the small X and that this is the first bust? Thank you kindly

Oh yes I forgot that old chestnut but here's the thing same can be said but the opposite for this 1927 proof 63. If that is Proof 63 it has to be better that coin from the pic granted is flawless So it must be better. I think they don't even look at half the coins and just give it grade. As if to say seen 1 seen them all and after all it isn't a US coin? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1927-UK-Great-Britain-Silver-Crown-George-V-Proof-Coin-NGC-PF-63-Rare-15k-Minted/382169190869

Well 2 alarm bells on auto ring would steer me away everytime. Blurred picture and no obverse picture as that would show it either real or fake. I would side with the later Look at this I might be highly critical but there is no way in a month of sundays that this 1930 Half crown coin would grade MS-64 > Contact marks are one thing but being hit by an asteroid storm is another https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1930-Halfcrown-UNC-NGC-MS64-Key-Date/202104282479

Morning all. Perusing as one does I picked up a coin from a toot box 1863 Penny. Noticed a few differences in the colons..The top colon after D: is missing completely the top colon after D. G: is a sideways oval shape and the bottom colon after F:D: D: is smaller than all the others. Any significance?

( coins I had to buy to get the coin I wanted from the lot but Still £4 for 9 edward VII pennies with 1908 star of the lot. I think a great deal not going to set the auction rooms alight but it's respectable

Rule of thumb never put anything away in a safe place. Because as sure as the sun rises and sets every day that safe place will be that safe you won't even know where it is

If he's anything like me. I always mislay the bloody thing when it sells. Sits right in front of me the rest of the time. Only when I need to post it does it go MIA lol. That's my Mantra. " The coin in the picture is the exact same coin you will receive" Coz I Is an honest bloke aint I lol.

On that note i'll pop this in as well was there any wide rim 1967 pennies? I know the 1967 half penny had wide rim obverse but I have not come across reference for wide rim 1967 pennies. I stumbled on it looking at the tridents and beading and rim finishes on the coins. I have only taken a real quick 7 coins and photography are all identical from the scope. It looks like some had the beading sitting right under the rim but this only seems to happen on the coins that look like a more wired rim and the coins with beading away from the rims only appeared on the square angled flat rims. I marked the wide rim with arrow top left the other two arrows are the rim differences and relationship to the beading
