  1. "much scarcer than most believe though it suffers from the lack of halfpenny collectors IMHO" Early milled halfpennies are always appreciated at our house. Well, by me anyway... Nice addition to your collection Scott.
  2. Just a bit of fill in the tail of the R. They are identical in all other respects.
  3. Revised. Still hasn't a snowball's. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ONE-PENNY-METAL-DETECTOR-FIND-1933-King-GEORG-IVS-Reproduction-Vintage-/182785889026?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
  4. The fake corrosion is obvious, which would suggest the story is as bogus as the coin. Reported.
  5. Happy birthday for yesterday Stuart. All the best. Fifty's quite a milestone, any nice prezzies?
  6. Another lovely token Paulus. Just noticed, that bloke's hands are even smaller than Trump's!
  7. Mmm, true, I hadn't considered that. I'll let you know if I receive a reply.
  8. Hi M, Both are around Very Good, which is the grade below Fine.
  9. And me. I've sent a message to the seller too as this one may be a genuine case of not knowing.
  10. I made the exact same point to my wife while we were watching it. (Cue rolling of eyes and a muttered: 'Here he goes again.'...
  11. I use: Report item> Report category> Prohibited and restricted items Reason for report> Stamps, currency and coins Detailed reason> Replica coins, replica paper money, and replica stamps
  12. Reported.
  13. I think it may have ran until the allotted end time Stu (20:16 last night). I received one of those ebay last call reminders two hours before but decided not to bid after all . If it is listed for a third time we all could continue to report it.
  14. And me.
  15. …but not in a good way... https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/sep/12/chesterfield-princess-diana-floral-tribute-ridiculed-an-insult "Roger Fearn wrote: “Our shops our closing, our Market stalls are empty, we have homeless people in our bus station, our football team is crap and now this.” Other comments were less kind."
  16. That should read 'uncharted', not 'unchartered', but I'm sure you knew that…...
  17. His previous listings made me laugh, this one just baffles. We've entered unchartered territory here….. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/harfpenny-Charles-11-with-the-head-of-Victoria-bun-head-one-side-of-the-coin-/272842959385?hash=item3f86b52a19:g:KS0AAOSwE9lZtpgz

  21. Now there's an understatement if ever I read one. 'Not necessarily handsome'? Bulldog sucking a lemon would be my description. Though for all his shortcomings a half decent painter.
  22. Good for you. Family first every time. Obviously, I'm a bit older. Before we moved to Cambridge for my wife's Phd Liverpool of the late 1970s/early 1980s was a fun time for me. Played in bands. Made some records. Here's me and Pete Burns LOL (I'm on the left, playing the Telecaster).
  23. I'm Toxteth, then Allerton, then Toxteth again ( the late 1970s crappy bedsit years). Dovecote? I have a couple of friends who are originally from the Pilch Lane area. Also, back in the mid '70s, I had a girlfriend who lived in Huyton. We would often spend our Saturday nights at the Hillside pub then at the Hoe Down club, which I think was in the basement? This was all pre punk of course, after that it was the city centre and Eric's, The Grapes, The Armadillo etc.
