  1. 'Pills' (above) In the late 1970s I was in band called Crash Course with Pete Wylie. During live shows we would bash out this song as our encore tune.
  2. B. No doubt you and I are kindred spirits. I grew up in Toxteth, Liverpool. This music was meat (er, well no, I'm veggie, LOL) and drink, and I can't think of a better exit. We visited Liverpool to see Toots and the Maytals play a club show a few years back. They tore the place apart. Here's another for those who may not know their work….. And another fine tune from my youth. Around our way, if you weren't black (I'm pink, therefore I'm Spam) you were suede head. Cool times...
  3. Another small batch I'd think worthy of sharing. Swing your pants folks….
  4. But hey ho.... Here's my tuppence worth to help it all keep ticking along.
  5. I don't think Eugenie would be best pleased if she knew a mate of mine was responsible for posting this Chris.
  6. Beyond BC? There are a number of objects around our house which fit the bill, but if we're talking coins I have a few Greek, Alexander the Great, Philip of Macedon etc. and also these: Dolphin money from the Black Sea area, 5th to 3rd century BC. They were cast on poles, attached in rows at the tail end (think sprouts in their natural state), then tapped off when cooled.
  7. Just had a look. An erroneous listing I think.
  8. Not really Dec. Common, second busts. Nowhere near VF. Holed. I wouldn't have given £25 for it.
  9. And from the same seller…..this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lot-of-10-empty-TOBLERONE-choc-tubes-PRISM-SHAPED-for-Art-use-/142547298910?hash=item21307b2a5e:g:IWAAAOSwb-tZxBQS
  10. Ha ha, oh yes. Thanks Pete, just spotted what it is you were referring to. OK so, Thazz, what IS cubing?
  11. OK Pete. I give up. What IS cubing?
  12. "much scarcer than most believe though it suffers from the lack of halfpenny collectors IMHO" Early milled halfpennies are always appreciated at our house. Well, by me anyway... Nice addition to your collection Scott.
  13. Just a bit of fill in the tail of the R. They are identical in all other respects.
  14. Revised. Still hasn't a snowball's. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ONE-PENNY-METAL-DETECTOR-FIND-1933-King-GEORG-IVS-Reproduction-Vintage-/182785889026?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
  15. The fake corrosion is obvious, which would suggest the story is as bogus as the coin. Reported.
  16. Happy birthday for yesterday Stuart. All the best. Fifty's quite a milestone, any nice prezzies?
  17. Another lovely token Paulus. Just noticed, that bloke's hands are even smaller than Trump's!
  18. Mmm, true, I hadn't considered that. I'll let you know if I receive a reply.
  19. Hi M, Both are around Very Good, which is the grade below Fine.
  20. And me. I've sent a message to the seller too as this one may be a genuine case of not knowing.
  21. I made the exact same point to my wife while we were watching it. (Cue rolling of eyes and a muttered: 'Here he goes again.'...
