  1. Sorry i know its only a date width ,however i believe these to be rare in grades above VG. If anyone has one better than VG can you let me know please. BP1896Ad 11-5 teeth ,with the 6 to the right of a tooth.
  2. Hopefully someone here bought this on eBay last friday night ,if you did can you confirm it please as obviously only going off the picture or message me. Well done ,you were super quick. I saw it listed on my phone ,looked at the REV nothing ,looked at the OBV ,went to buy it £1-50 SOLD 😂😂
  3. Is there anything else you are interested in and maybe missed ?
  4. 50P thats released next week in the BU packets and then for circulation at a later date..
  5. Using laser to clean coins !!! | cleaning coins in few seconds with this new technology. - YouTube Makes me wonder if they use this on some they clean / conserve to get rid of the crap and leave an even colour ,even though they are removing the top layer. I have seen a couple recently that have come back much worse than they were sent for conservation and is daft that they reject them for being cleaned BUT think its ok if they do it.
  6. Yes its an 1865/3 ,just not very clear on the picture. The coin was mine and the Satin type of which there are four was confirmed by John Jerrams for me a few years ago.
  7. Yes ,only a few which is all i wanted. An ebay seller used pictures of one to desribe a coin ,so sent him a message asking if i bought the coin (which i didnt want) could i have the list please 😀
  8. Its good not having a collection anymore as i can buy plenty if they are nice 😀 A common year but not in this grade.
  9. A new one 1858 Large rose. NGC MS62 not attributed and although not the best i have had still a decent one.
  10. No ,its just a mark and nothing raised or another dot there , i can see what you mean though. Sometimes on a picture we can see things (Dots) that we want to be there but are not and just dirt , toning spot , carbon spot ,damage or general marks. Almost as if we want it to be something that often is not and by keep looking convince ourself it is. Well spotted though 👍
  11. This is the coin in Baldwin you mention Peter and has been CLEANED however the SMALL date and much scacer.
  12. A couple of DOT pennies ,seems lots of interest in these now ,probably penny collectors who have everything else. 1861 F26 which i havent seen another one and 1875 BP1875Cd.
  13. A couple i bought at the weekend. 1929 Missing waves and rocks ,clear nice example and hadnt seen one for the year before. 1858 Large rose ,not the best although have seen worse and only £10 not attributed.
  14. Well done Jerry and thankyou for being able to confirm what i originally thought but from the photos could not be sure ,even the owner of the coin having a second look wasnt aware 😀
  15. I wasnt sure ,so as it was in an auction sent the link to someone i know. They asked the seller as it was started at about £280 who replied it was a F114 but NOT a 2 over 1 ,so unless the seller did not look closely enough it wasnt one and just a mark showing on the picture.
  16. Just seen this on another group and thought it may be of some interest. Coin-Tickets-Main-List-007.pdf (britnumsoc.org)
  17. I dont understand what your on about Dave ,whats that got to do with Numistacker ? Guy Fie is The coinery and if he chooses to have his wife as a director thats his business and does not need putting on a public forum.
  18. Prax or his mate Gary put the picture on from memory ,although dont think it was theres and just a picture. Be nice to know its genuine and not an edited picture and that it really does exist.
  19. 1858 Large rose SMALL date.
  20. A couple of recent rare ones. 1856 SINGLE COLON after REG.
  21. Yes i spent 10 minutes deciding if i should buy it myself and it was only that it was in Australia and was going off a picture i decided not to 😀
  22. Having had a message i maybe didnt explain mine and others thoughts very well ,what i meant is the coin may of been slabbed but broken out as details and not that it was for sale slabbed in the auction. Obviously a maybe and have no evidence to back that up and just a thought ,however the coin did not IMO look in the best condition and unsual not just in this auction (were most of the others were slabbed ) but when a seller knows what they have in America to not put the coin in a slab to confirm its condition ,not just grade.
  23. If it had been slabbed as ok then it would of definately gone higher or atleast more interested bidders before the auction went live ,not just attracting more interest in the US but here also. A couple of people i know were both concerned about the condition of the coin looking at the picture and took that into consideration before the auction went live ,maybe the coin had been slabbed. Hopefully the coin went to a collector who hasnt got one though ,like jerry with the F90 (Hat off) rather than the same people / person possibly bidding the price up or buying others.
