  1. 2022.
  2. In the 2024 Coins of England decimal edition, on page 97 variety K69 is a Queen Elizabeth £2 coin but on page 405, K69 is a Charles III £2 coin. The QEII coin is supposedly a "Britannia" variety bearing a "privy mark" denoting the year of her death but I can't find any photos/trace of this coin. Can anyone help ?
  3. Clicking on the link gives several options to download - which do you recommend ?
  4. I suspect that there are around 50-100 examples. I stopped recording them coming to market several years ago.
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204853278137?itmmeta=01J19R66GKQ4EAWG8C5J6RZVCG&hash=item2fb234f5b9:g:N4wAAOSwmehmetfM What a bargain - less than £1000 per coin !!!!
  6. I haven't bought much lately but I did get this from the Sovereign Rarities auction - unusual wide date.
  7. I receive a printed catalogue for every auction - looks like I'm one of the lucky ones.
  8. Why not check out London Coins website for past sales of 1880 pennies - that will give a decent idea of what it might be worth. https://londoncoins.co.uk/?page=Pastresults&searchterm=1880+Penny&searchtype=1&red=1
  9. There appear to be other extraneous lumps and bumps too. Nothing to get excited about.
  10. Can you supply the link please ?
  11. Any response ?
  12. Well done, boys.
  13. I have messaged him several times telling him that this coin is not unique or rare but he ignores me and persists to fraudulently advertise it on Ebay. Maybe a few more messages from other collectors might convince him ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266776453944?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11011.m43.l1123&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=297be0ec5ffd48a1a674033d3c313703&bu=43154646029&exe=0&ext=0&osub=-1~1&crd=20240419233910&segname=11011
  14. I messaged him to say that it was not the 1927 reverse and to mention the confusion of obverse and obtuse - he then changed the description to the "rare 1927 obverse". I then messaged him to say that it was not the 1927 obverse (M.E.) but he has not replied. Fortunately, no-one has been daft enough to bid on it.
  15. Very common occurrence.
