  1. Just finished watching it. Fabulous prices but some real bargains on some rarities, e.g. F112, F90, 1863 slender 3, F27 and F76. Patterns and proofs through the roof. There was persistent brinkmanship on the bidding and the auctioneer missed bids on 3 lots when she took her eye off the screen and brought the hammer down microseconds after a new bid had flashed up. Bernie may well be in for a huge CGT bill !!! The majority of lots went to a single bidder - I'd love to know who that was.
  2. I'm sure they'll be on the website by tomorrow, but I'll probably be noting the prices realised.
  3. I've added it as a sub-variety of reverse G. It's the first time I've updated the site for a few years.
  4. Very distinctive top of lighthouse confirms reverse g.
  5. Michael's book is on Ebay right now https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156516874402?itmmeta=01JCNQKJ3XCC0WDJV61ZQSBTBV&hash=item247121f8a2:g:t6QAAOSwvLlnNgnY&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwHoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKlZl2vPDZSYJdNrdHO4ptyX27Wa4scxEN0dsIwJwzOynWOwqOsrOznmr5fAl0J9AdKZwRSogkMxpOhLP8Osp6NGGiq%2BnG8gU0C4lfmS6pOYhhXlcPzXmJoeUYm3oA5Ktgy%2BN9E2imUC6hZQ02rHsJnXSOOgblqqmLOfKWSzFCEEbhcRlW3Miwpqh7hn%2F9VSAIOxZPXPGM8X7lkt9QJM3CM6VUCyx%2FhUE9IXPpzmJ0nesg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR4iizrflZA
  6. The R over R also has a die flaw from the top of the wreath to the rim.

  8. Go on, indulge yourself.
  9. I've just checked and it appears that they have taken the photos either from my website or the Royal Mint Museum as it's clearly the same coin ! https://rarestpennies.wordpress.com/1933-f786-pattern/
  10. Hang on - isn't this one of the Lavrillier patterns ?
  11. Apologies, Jerry, for forgetting to add this but it's up now.
  12. I emailed Steve Hill about that yesterday and it was just in time for them to correct before printing the catalogues.
  13. This may work https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0625/5365/3473/files/Auction_XVI_-_Special_Feature_Penny_Collection_Part_I.pdf?v=1730480279
  14. Martin, if you click on the link and bring up the PDF, there should be an icon somewhere on the top right like a downward arrow above above a "tray" - if you click on this it will download the PDF to a folder that you nominate.
  15. Bernie's collection is now available as 2 PDFs - superb pictures. https://www.sovr.co.uk/
  16. Excellent - thanks.
  17. I hadn't realised that he was the same Geoff Cope that played cricket for Yorkshire & England !
  18. Don't think I know that one.
  19. Which auction house ?
  20. You must be exhausted.............
  21. I think "proof-like" should be taken with a pinch of salt. The scratches look quite harsh. P.S. Victoria is on the obverse; Britannia on the reverse.
  22. Hope nobody heard you taking pictures in the toilet - some incorrect assumptions may have been made !
  23. Gouby says this variety (1898Ab) is "scarce ?" But 1898 Ba and Ca are both "rare" So, almost certainly No but I doubt that anyone has done a serious analysis.
