There was a really large jump in the prices of the edinburgh pound coins on ebay this week from around £12 to around £25 and sometimes even more - I expect this to continue as the hysteria wipped up in the press continues . Anyone with a few is advised to wait to sell in the summer

I strongly suspect that the type of light has an effect as well - you often see tapesties that have been damaged by sunlight but under artifical light they are fine

Yes I am not totally pleased with the reverse yet so I will carry on working on it - unfortunately it looks slightly "Edgy" as well with a couple of edge knocks and other light problems , like a weak strike as well Overall though I am very please with the verdi-care

Please could you also explain why you collected so many of these coins over the years and now want to sell them at a discount to their normal value - I suspect you may never get a job as a prominant economist or get rich with this sort of attitude to coin collecting .

I found six in my change before it was anounced in the press that they were rare .(I searched about £10,000 worth) I did find a further two soon after the anouncement but none in the last few years - i have given up looking now - its a waste of time - all change is picked clean of them .
