I think the main thing here is what really did this couple expect for their money - this place has always had a bad rep. and since pontins sold it to probably the worst hotel group in the country (britannia) which owns some hanging hotels ( the norbreck castle in blackpool comes to mind). They are not charging much for a rapidly disapearing resorce so you are not exactly going to have a holiday in bali . The security guard is also not there to police the customers - if any customer is upset about illegal goings on report it to the police ,( expect a good kickin' as you leave the park though}.

After a holidaymaker complained to a security guard in pontins southport The security guard on duty ‘refused to do anything’ because he said it ‘wasn’t his job’, the furious holiday-maker claims. Michelle said: ‘Drugs were freely being smoked everywhere you turned, kids were running wild until the early hours. ‘Parents were p***ed up, no masks were being worn, bottles of spirits were being brought into the park and drank in the entertainment area on clear show. ‘The door guard didn’t have a badge and refused to deal with the weed. He said it wasn’t his job. So I asked “what is your job then?” to which he replied “clearly a better job than you because I don’t have my holidays in Pontins”.’

1859 farthings are rather rare and are popular you could sell them till the cows come home same with 1851 and 1852 , but there is no way that coin should have gone to much more than £25 esp as the other coin was listed at around the same time There again ebay does produce freak results for sellers every so often -

If you read what I said carefully lucido 8 's coin was in worse than fine (but described as good fine ) and fetched £102. The other seller had an EF coin and it never got a bid at only £100. -
Just looking through finished coin prices I noted on seller Lucido-8 sell a near fine copper farthing for £102 and yet a EF coin with lustre ( A really nice coin ) never got a bid at £100 starting price (Another seller) , totally weird. I also noted this seller seems to get consistantly good prices for really rarther poor coins . Is he shilling or does anyone suspect a rat ?

image copyrightSuffolk Police image captionTitan the tortoise was loaded into a police van and returned to his owner A giant tortoise managed to make it about a mile across a town before being apprehended by police. Titan, who weighs in at a whopping nine stone (60kg), was found in Kesgrave, near Ipswich, on Friday. It took three police officers to lift the wayward pet into a van and drive him home to his worried owner. Richard Aston said it was a "mystery" how Titan made it that far as he had not broken through his shelter. "Maybe he teleported there," he said. When police called Mr Aston, he was not at home so had no idea his 35-year-old pet African sulcata tortoise was on the loose. "There was no sign of the fence being broken, and he can't jump over it - it's three feet high," he said.
