  1. anybody bought one?
  2. try gents to keep abreast of things will you
  3. thats the trouble isnt it?......we all know theyre disappointing, we all know theyre overgraded, and the photos just seem a token gesture, i cant help feeling i would buy more from them if it was fairly graded ef rather than bu, or vf rather than ef. some dealers do it right though, just bought this from Richard at world coins.....the pics sold it.
  4. yea that sure is weird.
  5. ive emailed richard several times requesting better pictures and all you get is the same ones as the site, shame really because you get the feeling as pointed out here.....the pics are trying to hide the true grade. ski
  6. another nice ebay coin http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FUN-NOVELTY-RISQUE-NAUGHTY-LADY-HEADS-WIN-TAILS-U-LOSE-COIN-TOKEN-BUY-NOW-/130792905045?_trksid=p2045573.m2102&_trkparms=aid%3D555003%26algo%3DPW.CAT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D33%26meid%3D3697278583484314189%26pid%3D100034%26prg%3D1031%26rk%3D3%26
  7. I regularly drool over richard ingrams stock list, a great many of the coins in the list have no photo, and those that do.......really poor photography.......none have ever persuaded me to take a punt. its very difficult to assess detail and coin grade from his pics.
  8. we've a local building firm around here called singh the builders. on their vans they have....youve tried the cowboys now try the indians.
  9. even fewer have their own song and video
  10. ie melted down for scrap?
  11. okay so you get yourself to the blondes house.....tha ambience is set by a gangstarapper ( he cant sing but can talk total shite at 500mph) song playing, you know its loud from the blood oozing from you ears and nose. Tha smell of stale cats urine puts you off the meal she hase carefully and lovingly prepared for you, but hey......your not that keen on kfc party buckets and fizzy pop anyhow. and then you settle down and get cosy on the sofa, and its when here 4th child honks all over your favourite chino's that you only have one thought in your mind................. ....................GLENLIVET
  12. just read this in the cgs catalogue for their Dec auction NB CGS are now providing a service where 'problem' coins can now be encapsulated, these identifiable by a yellow attribution ticket but without a numeric grade, useful for attribution and authentication. ski
  13. he got that fat because hes been munchen too much
  14. nice coins.....i must give up the drink
  15. ive noticed on ebay recently, more cgs slabbs that are sold as "slabbed but returned as ungraded due to cleaning" have cgs upped their game.....or just a coincidence.
  16. my neighbour buys them to feed the foxes in her garden......you would think foxes were a little more discerning
  17. i worked in a "hotel" when i was at school, doing the washing up of dishes and glasses. this was a hotel in an area of southampton where soliciting was legalised and the rooms were rented out by the hour. i saw some dodgy meat there i can tell you.
  18. i once lived with a girl from glasgeeee who was half jock half italian........most days saw the plates were thrown at the walls or floor.......now thats an expensive breed.
  19. welcome for a second time.......dont know about capsules, but keep posting ski
  20. i have a 1893 florin which is AU details and an 1889 d/florin AU details even with a 30 times glass its difficult to see the scratches, lovely coins in the hand. Chris had a double florin proof on his site...the ngc number indicated it was an "arabic 1", chris's photos showed it was a "roman 1". i wrote to chris and he confirmed the coin was a "roman 1" and that ngc had made a glaring error.
  21. its right up there with "from a pet free home" meaning it aint a dog of a coin..... except it is
  22. known as bloody mary.......due to the fact she found the bishop of worcester saucy ..not
