  1. No price stated but it Must outstrip The recent Edward VIII Sovereign if thats The case https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/5394/1344-Edward-III-Double-Leopard/?utm_source=Marketo&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=NGC%20eNews%20July%202016&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiWmpjd09HWTVNV1JqTmpZdyIsInQiOiIxampkWjhDNUlxeXVwTGhXZ251eCtod2RZTHJ2aTREMU5qTEU2VThXSzNhTk9BVVgzZ0pZZmZqWXM1ZVB1R2IzRFwvUHUzSXA0akdiRmdWazh6WDBUcmdrRHE3UGpJWTZhSWtZZ1NKaTV3RTQ9In0%3D
  2. The longer this goes on without any info the worse their reputation is going to get. I don't understand why they don't add any information on the main page of the website to keep people informed of where CGS actually is, mind you, trying to track down info on submissions previously was a huge task in itself, so, par for the course
  3. t may or may not helpi
  4. They're telling us something most already knew, so to solve the problem, shut the website down and bury the heads in the sand until it all goes away
  5. I'd go for The top one because there is more wear on The 2nd, if You look at The harp detail for instance, The 2nd is flat, also some flatness on the scepteres, BUT The first has poor lighting which might mean it's been dipped to make it look bright and shiny. Unless The picture on The first has been done in such a way that The light makes it look like it has a golden tone, so personally, i wouldn't go for either unless Number 1 came up with another picture. There are many 1887 florins out there, you need patience, its not easy, i did The Same thing initially but slowed down eventually
  6. 1887 is the commonest year of the Victoria era, it was her jubilee year but at least you're not breaking the bank at £13.50. As i've said before on these boards, a collection doesn't have to mean 100 coins in lower grades, you can also buy 2 or 3 in high grade, better to have 1 coin in high grade than 10 in lower grades, just my opinion
  7. LCs would still hold 51% until money has changed hands, that all may change in due course, The fact that collectors Are being left in the dark about The situation and closing down The website/limiting access when it was live doesn't do anyone any favours, especially those who shipped coins during the "new Elite membership" period. It wasn't very well thought through IMO
  8. You can also Check out The website from Tony Clayton, he keeps this up to date and is specifically British orientated http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/coins.html
  9. As i said above, i wonder if this new pricing has come from the new owners, i think people paying this sort of money need to know who's now exactly in charge before parting with a wedge
  10. Hi Mick and welcome aboard, There is several storage methods, some of which can be found on predecimal.com, the owner of the forum' personal website for coins and storage options. Some people use sleeves with can be placed into albums, others use round plastic capsules and for the more exotic/expensive items storage drawers, it would depend on the individual and coins you'll go for, here's a few to look at http://www.predecimal.com/lindner-full-range-coin-cases-c-149_158.html http://www.predecimal.com/lindner-full-range-coin-albumspages-c-149_157.html http://www.predecimal.com/coin-holders-coin-capsules-c-149_159_162.html There's also these that some people like, but i'm not sure if they can be opened again after being sealed, best to ask, andy_jack has a good reputation amoungst coin collectors and will usually answer your questions in good time, the above links are from the forum owner who can also help if you leave a message http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Lighthouse-EVERSLAB-coin-capsules-cases-14mm-to-41mm-all-sizes-of-Slabs-/140874274011?var=&hash=item20ccc2d4db:m:mfHSLSDeDxd91989rd3G8vQ
  11. Perhaps it was the idea of the new management, perhaps all their changes were coming from the new management. Will be interesting to find out who it is eventually
  12. Of course it can be worn down, wearing down a nick on a pearl or high point can make it look a different coin, but on The HA coin there is a Depression inside The braid loop which couldn't be worn away, they take an exact image, there's also other depression and nicks on the HA coin but not on yours. I'm not convinced they are The same
  13. The REV of the HA coin, my other assumption on this is that the Chinese wouldn't buy a high grade coin only to make it look so worn, they'll buy a coin and use that coin as the specific template so they can sell for a good price and when they're finished with it would sell the original, they'd also have to slab it again
  14. I think the problem with this is that they have already used a lower grade die 64 for faking, there is a thread somewhere on this specific coin with links i believe, the HA coin is in much higher grade than the one you've shown
  15. I'll leave this here to compare, lots of various dings on the HA coin that aren't on the one you have, can you upload a larger size picture?
  16. Ahhhhh hello internumi..... I don't think ist was made from the HA linked coin, The braid detail is quite sharp on that one compared to The one you uploaded
  17. Are they worried about what will happen to their jobs in 2 years?
  18. Now that is a sad story, i'm in agreement that not all Brexit voters are racist or however people wish to label things that are happening in the UK, its a sad state of affairs that we can't live together, side by side and hopefully we can see more of the stories like the ones from Richard and Rob
  19. To get any sort of trade deal with the EU, the U.K. has to accept migration, the assumption that brexit voters had was out of the EU no more migrants, wrong perception. Alan (MHCOINS) mentioned something the day after the vote about a rally somewhere in England chanting to get the migrants out, so what are we talking if it isn't racism? Rob, this was a part conversation I had with a schoolfriend of mine, he's a Rangers fan, it was regarding Germany, see attached, like I said, with such narrow minds Germany will not be allowed to forget
  20. They were pretty much well hidden Colin
  21. I think they fact they're forever reminded of the past means Germany will always be made to feel guilty. Societies the world over are changing, heritage is being diluted by mixed cultures integrating into different societies yet somehow the UK seems to believe that the UK is for pure breeds only, as i said, lets see what happens if Donald Trump gets elected, just don't wear a sombrero Jaggy. I just wonder how many people have worked alongside different nationalities at the same time and how those people can get along and work side by side, i work with Bosnians, Serbs, Greeks, Italians, Croatians and Germans, we even talk about the war, no one has a problem because we are all there to make a living an not hate one another
  22. Bur surely if people want to trade/sell their CGS graded coins then that would be entirely up to the individual, i'm not sure how they'd approach an individual on the CGS site as the username doesn't really give a contact address or email address visible to other users. Vicky, step back from the Whisky bottle
  23. The police have reported a 5% increase in hate crimes since Brexit, so again, what would you call it? Let's see what you say after Trump gets the nod
  24. So what should this be called? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3671769/BT-apologises-German-father-two-accused-burden-Britain-engineer-visited-home.html
  25. I'm not sure if you're following post brexit racism thats happening in The UK, we should also Sweep that under The carpet and move on. ??
