  1. You have 3 chances making an offer. So if a coin is £1000 and Mr fruitcake offers £100, its going to get automatically knocked back as there is a Matrix a seller could use. When listing BIN or "make offer" the seller can add an acceptance price plus also a price he Wants to start Talking Dollar with the Person who makes the offer. You always get the idiots who go in at 25% of the listed price, so of course those will be knocked back because they are unrealistic. Those are the people who will get knocked back 3 times.
  2. I was going to say the exact same thing
  3. I thought it was more spam. Wonder whats actually in spam
  4. EBay Charge up to £75 and not 10% on everything Benny
  5. I've recently had similar and have worked out a price offline. Its good for me and the buyer. No fees involved, so the buyer gets a cheaper coin. Its risky for them though as they don't know the seller from adam. I recently sold a Scottish hammered this way and te guy was really pleased, we're now in the process Talking over another hammered.

  8. Looks like My Chas I groat arrived in time then, or maybe not, just re-read that its threepences he's after I need specs
  9. sample The bust on this looks almost comical. Chinp like face with a Pinocchio nose that you could Hang your coat on. I'd agree with an auction though, they would find their market value.

  11. Londons have a nice 1905 in their forthcoming sale lot 1985 grades as EF £2400-£2800 estimate. Hopefully Peter did'nt Open his wallet on the CC coin
  12. No, it was just as good as this one. How can you take it out of the equation if you never even saw it ? It's his grading that's out, based on the pictures. But this was a good pic and the UNC status was about right. Because i know he's a shite grader and takes shite pictures, so i don't need to look
  13. Rendells pictures and grading are pretty poor so i'd take his out if the equasion. Its always the same though on ebay, when a seller gets noted for having some nice coins, it spreads like wildfire and inflated prices arre paid by those not in the know. They'll bid like sheep because a coin has a large price and so they'll think its really rare and inflate The price even more.
  14. Did you also buy it Stuart ?
  15. Uncle Bucks grading is seriously getting worse, or else he's paying to much for his coins http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1728-ROSES-PLUMES-SIXPENCE-BRITISH-SILVER-COIN-GEORGE-II-EF-/360455648843?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D5445886468805878382%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D360455648843%26
  16. Bernies son sold off his collection but never heard of Bernie selling his
  17. Ditto. Double ditto, Stuart is also my favourite
  18. Bernie has one of the best Penny collections in the UK, what he does'nt know about Pennies you could write on the back of a postage stamp. I recall he once posted the coin here somewhere, can't remember where though. Maybe he'll pop back in and drop a picture for us
  19. Bernie Workmans looks brand new
  20. I find that a large industrial bandsaw that we have at work glides through a slab like butter
  21. Peter you're not supposed to think about it to long
  22. It's been gilded, and is VF or thereabouts
  23. Keep the best one and Tell him he's sent 2 halfcrowns and you'll be wanting a refund on the crown.
