  9. There was quite a large spam artack in the site this morning so the owner of the Site deleted quite a few accounts, yours was probably one of those
  10. Hmmmm, slab cracking this one i'm not sure about as i bought it for the bay and in it's holder it may attract more potential buyers, so will probably leave it as is
  11. It has a scratch on the REV Peter, accentuated by the plate size picture (i'll post shortly) its 1687/6 and i think G/A in MAG, although not described as such, so G/A in MAG?
  12. Thank god the spam has been cleared.....Anyway, here's the EF details graded coin. I'm going with GVF............Anyone else
  13. I'd be fine if the coin was 25 year old, but it's a 300 year old plus coin, so surely they should get things right?
  14. It means that it is a coin that would have been graded around the EF mark, had it not been rejected for whatever reason (cleaning, environmental damage, surface hairlines etc). Ok, it has a scratch on the REV, but personally with the scratch i'd say GVF. Maybe better to give a correct grade than DETAILS.....It's a 1687/6 and i think G/A in MAG Shilling
  15. James II Shilling
  16. Won a coin in which the graded holder (NGC, should i be afraid?) states EF details. WTF is EF details? Does that mean GVF or VF? Anyone know exactly what it means?
  17. You could maybe borrow this Stuart 320944127768
  18. Agreed, sounds like an eBay Grade
  19. my avatar is of a phillip and mary sixpence dave. I knew it was Mary though lol
  20. I think ski has one as his Avatar?
  21. Possibly Stuart, contemplating at the moment as i'm not a fan of Gold or Gold prices but would make an interesting purchase for the bay if it were a Roman digit, it certainly does'nt appear to be an Arabic 1, the bottom serif certainly looks longer than the top serif and as Peck says almost looks like an L, but the top serif is definately elongated to the right making it look like a Roman I
  22. Not at all, I have little idea about such things! I have bought it as a nice grade 1825, the wonky 5 is just added interest ... Michael says on his web site that others have suggested it may be 5/3 but that seems unlikely/impossible! So I thought I would throw it open for debate Nothing is likely or impossible in coin collecting
  23. Its a nice coin, one that will probably sit in your collection and nag you to death for the life of it in your collection. I'd be content that it's a good example and it will piss you off for a while wondering what's under the 5
  24. If Michael has had it a while and the last digit has been debated elsewhere and with Michaels authority on Micro varities, he states its 5/5, why would you then believe it to be 5/3? Are you trying to convince yourself its 5/3?
