  1. I should get a platinum medal the size of a dustbin lid for the pain it takes to hit 10k on there! I'll see if i can rustle up a picture
  2. Peck would have a Field day wiv there spellin
  3. You should maybe point Said blogger to the fake coin in the NGC slab and see what he has to say about the BIG 4s authenticity then

  9. Its not ebay though Richard, it's NGC
  10. So the same seller has 1 or 2 more British coins slabbed by NGC 230851407246 230853992857 230851424836. <<< this is a belter at 3 grand Can someone insert the urls please
  11. Its one of those auctions Rob where the average collector could buy 1 coin probably, problem being there's so much choice.
  12. Anyone took a look through their auction catalogue? Its not for the average collector, some amazing coins in there, the farthing boys should get their credit cards out
  13. Cheers, Pies, thanks for that! Do you work IN hospital then? Quite possibly, whatever his ddescription means..........Ha lol
  14. I'm sure I read somewhere that it was resolved and he was not out of pocket? Lets ask the Horses Mouth................Paul, what happened with that piece of shite you bought?
  15. Hmmmmmmmmmmm you've listed the coin you wanna buy lol I'm fancying an experiment! Can I shake those deposits off with one of those cheap machines? No
  16. TBH i'd love to think this is genuine. The seller sells many Sovs, but a rarity such as this on ebay is somewhat strange to me. An EF graded coin in Spinks is around 8500 quid. Why put this coin on ebay if its so rare? I can't vouch for authenticity, but ebay often exceeds major auctions at final hammer, AND only have a 10% sellers fee! I think all the serious collectors/dealers have a pretty good handle on eBay nowadays, despite everything that's said! Look at us lot, for instance, when something special comes along (not saying this is) we're all drooling and speculating, CALCULATING, twitching, itching...there are quite a few armchair bidders methinks! Most of the quality hammered is almost untouchable on eBay! C'mon, Dave, you use one of those electro cleaners, any good for this? http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1438.l2649 Nah Stuart, when a coin of that magnituude comes along, it should and would be put into a serious auction. We should be looking at 5k or more for this Sov
  17. Still the cheek shows some form of a dig
  18. Hmmmmmmmmmmm you've listed the coin you wanna buy lol

Why put this coin on ebay if its so rare? Even Spinks has a warning of forgeries for this date. It all looks fishy to me. Seller in question has been found out elsewhere on another forum for a certain bidding illicetly
  20. Ok John, was'nt sure. I'd only seen the one you were interested in at Lockdales in April which went above what you wanted to go at...........It' was the first i'd seen and thought it may have been the same one
  21. Just wondering if this is the same coin sold at Lockdales this year in auction around March/April. I remember John mentioning one (argentumandcoins) and i'd live bidded on the same auction and watched that coin sell for around 600 quid. Anyone got a catalogue from that auction because these coins don't come around often so should be easily spotted if they popped up

  23. Not seeing rainbow pies, maybe a dig in the cheek and wear..........Might be the scanner, but personally i can't see it my friend
  24. Cheers, Dave, I'll had a dig around in there and see how Chris has played it! Chris is aguy you can ask personally, ask red riley (aka derek) who wrote the book on grading, i'm sure Chris helped him with that and was published with Chris' help and also with help from forum members. Every little helps as they say at azda
