I agree, I don't think it is acceptable to delay posting once the grading/slabbing process is completed, after all we prepay SD postage. In my case I received them 2 days after they were marked as 'Completed', so that was good. The one i sent was finalised last week and still waiting on it

If CGS wish to improve then like any company they should Listen to constructive comments, it would be silly not to. My only critisism is why it takes so long to post bacj, Stuart mentioned it was another month before he got his back. Surely they can post at least once week if the Coins are slabbed?

Me too. And if everyone thought like us, it really wouldn't matter how CGS grade coins - people would buy purely on what the coin looks like. Or if its one they must have

I so wish all these little fragments of info could be bottled together in one place for future reference. I've been copying and pasting off anything interesting re G5 and G6 as it arrives on the forum, as there so many pearls that get lost otherwise, but where do you stop? Best to copy and paste the info into your own document Stuart, including the pictures of the edge lettering above so you can look back on it. It's the same with the Northumberland Shillings, many many fakes, but i'm sending the one i just got off to CGS, i'd rather sell it with their label of authenticity. Nice website btw

If left for to long in the cleaning agent, silver can come out looking flat, like it looks like a stone, a dull grey colour................Just a word on the Gothics to, IF you should decide to buy one, make sure the dealer is very reputable, and to get a 2nd opinion, i'd send it to CGS for grading and authentication, even dealers can sometimes get it wrong, and with the amount of money that you can spend on one of these you would'nt want to know 5 years down the line that it's a fake

Plugged or not, i think its a quality coin, i'm not sure it will affect its value greatly, but we'll see.

I'm struggling to see any difference in the OBVs, obviously My picture is massive and will show warts an all, but the wear on the laurels on both Coins look the same to me

This coin sold at DNW today for a nice 1800 quid and here's one i have that's been sitting around the bay for a while at less than half of DNWs price, i cannot see much difference in grades, can you? It'll be getting submitted to the next DNW sale if that's the price they're getting
