  1. Its not the auction prices, its the quality of the coins. Since i've been looking through auctions and paying more Attention to Hammered, i've not seen so mamy nice Chas I coinage in one place at the same time and i think the bidders think the same and also think how Long will it be before something like this come along again, hence you can Throw your books out of the wimdow and Run with the pack if you really want something
  2. There was lots of bidding from Japan in the Mellors and Kirk as well. I noticed that to Declan, i did get one lot though
  3. There is some very sore wallets today. Glad i'm scooping up elsewhere
  4. Thats one ugly coin Clive. Hammered should stay hammered and not be replicated into silver proof touristy junk
  5. Yes, me behind my Laptop, i won't be bidding this time around, this type of sale has come a year to early for me. I will be Licking the Screen however at 1 or 2 bits that i liked. Good luck to those who are bidding
  6. 182 slots and fits Crowns, halfcrowns, Florins, Shillings and sixpences
  7. Another one sold to his buddy sonofcork 360733063227 so by my reckoning he's spent over £150 in fees so far. He'll need to up his game and clean another coin to make it back. Doing well Mr P

  9. £100 in 2013, so £500 more than spink would suggest. Good work if you can get it. Strange that its only moved a tenner in 7 years though
  10. He must have decided there was an error. It's €804 on delcampe.net Dave!! There's hopeful and .... insane. And I think we both know which side of the line this one falls on! Geez thats unbelievable Obviously it was'nt an error then lol

  12. Ok i'll just Tell you all as the game seemed to have stuttered. A Dealer wants........... €730, yes thats seven hundred and thirty euros. I did email and said there was an error in his listing as there was an extra zero in there

  16. Ok, i suppose a few of us rememberthe game Show with Leslie Crowther. So lets see if you can guess how much this would cost you, here is the listing text: Halfgroat or 2 Pence group C minted to 1630-1631 to the Tower of London, very beautiful quality coin which most of the time in states of lower conservation, rare little coin Go
  17. Halfpennies with Die letters will always have a market as they are few and far between
  18. or "notquitethefullshilling" Lol
  19. Just for your info, i've just changed my ebay Name to classicbritishcoins. Those of you who know me well will see the irony in my choice
  20. Nahhhh I like the domain name that I picked. Although there is a huge sense of satisfaction from his 1827 penny auction last night, perhaps the penny has finally dropped to some of these ebayers who constantly bid with him. He's ruined his own eBay name, now he's started on his wife's name, a downward spiral
  21. I've done exactly the same thing regarding a domain name Declan lol
  22. Went at £373, half of what he sold it at 10 days ago, again to his shill bidder
  23. Platts botty must be quivering now with that 1827 still at half of what it was last time, with 40 mins to go lurvvvvve it Greed never pays Martin
  24. Ironically. sonofcork bought one of those fake 1864 florins from RD last year. Nice, but did he really? Was it a BIN or auction, as declan above pointed out, are they all in the same lodge? Another that was involved was Victoria*bronze wonder if that Name has been used recently
  25. Good grief, i don't know how they can have the stones to actually sell that
