  1. look at american stuff, every repunch, slight misalignment and flaw is a variety... i have never understood why some bun head pennys are listed as wide and narrow date, and some not
  2. looks like one to me, i think the giveaway are teeth instead of beads
  3. actually rare coins can be found cheaply anywhere i got an 1888 groat in a bulk buy with a 1826 halfpenny and 1864 penny (crossiet 4) for a fiver a 1875 H with 3 1912h and 1 1918h for a couple of quid as well as a £20 bulk lot of 200 odd coins which contained a single coin worth £40-60 those 2 off ebay i can get worn bunheads at my dealers for 5-25p (dependant on how much wear) and if they dont check the dates.. even the rare ones

  6. apart from the backlog of stuff that meant christmas cards were tuning up in late january? i have had things arrive from the USA in 3 days.. RM is now taking 5 days

  11. i have a 1913 on a 1912H blank has the same greenish colour as worn 12H if they made thier own that might explain it.
  12. where did the KN mint get the flans from? because some countries were using coins of similar size but sometimes slightly smaller (france for example)
  13. half farthings were made legal tender. but there were a few other dates in other series not for british issue (1888 groat for example - 120k mintage)
  14. just spotted this when uploading pictures. in hand the R stops where it kicks out with a raised foot below it joined by a very thin strip

  16. 6+g pairing, with a lower 1 this a close 1?
  17. all those have an H, i have one that looks like no H myself, worn, and it is flat, except for a strange shapeless blob when light is angled.
  18. only coincraft coin i have is a very worn coin from some horde or another i got for £2 at my dealers so someone bought something from there lol

  20. it is french i believe, i dont have the info on it to hand, but they had jetons with trees on at some period
  21. it is typial of the new design, it is probably 2008 the striking that year were horrible
  22. off centre strikes do make things look odd, looks genuine from the toning
  23. lol bury... liverpool should be playing them in a few seasons
  24. lucky here is a brokage i got off ebay about a year ago.
