  1. yes that is exactly the thing
  2. 1900 closed 9 also has that slanted 1 over the tooth by the looks of it your second one is of the same origins, is there a reminant of a previous 1 under the other? and i can see the closed 9 thing as well.
  3. now there is something i have been after
  4. 8? whaa? i have these 2 pictured seems to a striking error on the last one making the teeht dissaper, but both have a small first 0 and interestingly i have another with a closed 9
  5. london mint office... more overpriced rubbish coins on there then a search for crown on ebay
  6. i would love one of these for my collection, so would never sell it persoannly, selling these coins just stops the people who want one, getitng them without giving someone £50.. its a 20p and thats is its value
  7. what i can see is the bototm of the 8's are worn,as is the line going around the boarder teeth, at the point the H would be
  8. i havn't seen a £50 note in a while either come to think of it
  9. i remember at blackpool once, a mass of 2p's fell out of machine on thier own , in there was a 1933 halfpenny
  10. only because these 2008's quality is poor i have rotation errors on 1860 halfpenny (BB) and an irish penny from 1990's lol
  11. i have yet to find the 2006 10p rare type have at least 2 of every other 10p type though, and almost 50/50 split in 1992 small/large heads i think there are 2 types of the new design 20p, the TWENTRY was nearer to the edge on some (not by much but noticable if you look for it) one came out before the other as well, so pehaps differant dye
  12. i have a couple of coins with slight rotations about 20-30 at most. so yes it is possible
  13. or sell the spare one on ebay for to make up for the previous so yes
  14. yea they did, they used the designs from the late 19th century on the 1960-euro francs as well. although if the mint did some of the victorian designs then fantastic or the edward VII florin
  15. coins and market values that book is overpriced though, i got coin yearbook for the same price although to be fair some prices in krause are spot on, it is just the key dates it has trouble with
  16. krause are great at devaluing everything, maybe buying the coin nowhere near the country of origin will mean it is cheaper as there is less market, but with ebay around, we get into those markets, some of the prices are really irrelivant... no way i could get the rarer coins in there at krause price... except at the dealers. and if i could get a russian coin at krause price on ebay.. it would be a miricle
  17. 2005 is more like 3 million
  18. there are quite a few designs i like 2001, 2003, 2005, 2008 (liz 1) and 2009 shame they cost over face and you can buy a worn victoria OH penny for £2.95 off the mint O.O cant help but think the mint make things harder for us by charging £3 each for these 50p's and saying they are very rare... collecting circulating coins is boyant but WAY too much overpricing going on.
  19. they cant, they would have to use a lower denominations, these american projects are on coins that are more like our 20p's which have a high mintage every year, i can't see them doing it on 50p's, looking at the genral minting figures... its usualy around 30-40 million, the olympic stuff is what 82 million? its not possible. i do like the designs on the 2011 issues though, the WWF is 2011 issue in the sets, and is quite a nice design. shame the £5 has prince phillips face on it.. instantly making an ugly coin
  20. hard to say, i have similar, one like yours with a rubbish stike but great lustre, and another with a fantastic reverse, the obverse is usally the opposite to the reverse so i just had both
  21. looking at the bottom teeth they look like faded.. to me that is suspicious
  22. finally got it uploaded.
  23. the obverse with signiture under the queens neck too
  24. no, that was seperate, hence the and
  25. check your technology 2009 for errored lettering... and there was a £2 on ebay with off centre (slight) beading where the join is, some went fully onto the silver bit... and people were bidding. and the 2008 running track one was at a fiver also O.O
