  1. looks like a dye error, there is a crack leading to the top of the 1
  2. that's what Politicians do when they fail
  3. If it's Nicholson 190 then it's hardly "unrecorded" Nicholson sale item 190.. says unrecorded any difference in details like numeral positions means its another dye.
  4. yea, unrecorded, other then that I know of no more :/
  5. anyone found one of these? 1722/1
  6. not anything fake but, just kinda funny 57p with free P&P... kinda fail. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mixed-Old-Coins-/201165277004?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=qi5qULrtfANZev8n3MYsMoACIAQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  7. sixpences? not really heard of there being any more or less then shillings part of me expects there to be a show your halfpenny thread appearing :/
  8. I think the answer lies in the fact its in the middle. farthings are easy to get in higher grade cheaply, and plenty around, penny is the penny, and what most people probably have many of at the start of collections. halfpennies are the thing between the 2.
  9. I have a nice load of Halfpennies. I think the issue is the Variates atm are too specialist Halfpennies come up often in William III
  10. the majority of those are 50ps and junk though
  11. its wear probably. looks like it could be satin 18 or Gouby S
  12. pfft missing dot on obverse
  13. I have 2 maybe 3 of the commonwealth games ones the £2 at 7 and 8 (have 2 of the the 8th one) and a fair few of the Olympic 50ps
  14. he has them, he just fielded a 3rd team midfield and 2nd team defenders.
  15. 1675 halfpenny, No obverse stops, date isn't clear but the die flaw under the portrait is more worn, so more then likely 1675
  16. way out of my price range
  17. lots going on on this chester sixpence of 1697
  18. what you have to remember with William III is that they were poorly struck as well so grading has a bit more leeway.
  19. not an A for me, the alignment of the foot is 90 degrees, looks to me like a slanted letter
  20. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1562-elizabeth-1st-and-1699-William-1st-coin-found-in-Newark-on-Trent-garden-/221519450484?pt=UK_Coins_BritishHammered_RL&hash=item3393969174 this lizzy?
  21. with a very worn 1911 for £4,24
  22. £8.43, very early dated so a decent price
  23. the silvered one has a possible drilling attempt at the top on the reverse, so probably to make jewelery
  24. useful. I knew about the different reverses, but 2-3 different ones per letter?
  25. 1773 Russia/Moldova 2 para/ 3 Kopek 1811 2 kopek with great detail and off centre
