  6. couple of US cents £2.70 £6.15
  7. picked up this Double Tournois, looks like Henri III but the Legend starts at the top rather then at the bottom
  8. or less if I see it >.> I would go with around £40. looks nice on the eye which helps.
  9. 1833-35 standarisation of Brazilian coinage, apparantly it varied across the country before then.
  10. Brazil 80 reis revalued to 40
  11. at £4.59 cant complain given there were only 4.48m minted 99p, was bought with 3 others so postage of £1.10 the 4 doesnt add much, and something I have been after for a while in a reasonable grade.
  12. still out of my range especially if you throw on whatever the postage is, cos i'm eyeing up the 1806 cent.
  13. usualy because I buy the good stuff for myself. what Can't be helping is all the constant messing about they do, the password thing meant they had to disable the following feed, people who use that miss out (and it sometimes doesnt work properly). and the fact they change everything about.
  14. 25 years ago? i found a list of UK quakes, and nearest to 25 years ago was a 5.1 in shropshire we get a fair few up north due to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wem-Bridgemere-Red_Rock_Fault_System but all around 2-3 in clusters.
  15. probably stumbled across that, but i hate .pdfs in web browsers, prefer to download them.
  16. I always use that as a quick glance for mintmarks etc.
  17. one? nearest volcano http://volcanodiscovery.com/vogtland-volcanic-area-earthquakes.html shows 15... in 24 hours http://www.volcanodiscovery.com/vogtland-volcanic-area.html supposedly an area known for earthquakes
  18. someone bid on it. looks a bit bright to me.
  19. quite a few there, might we worth a look if i knew anything about them, nothing on russia though.
  20. http://www.cgb.fr/le-franc-10-les-monnaies-francaises-edition-2014-desrousseaux-stephane-prieur-michel-schmitt-laurent-sous-la-direction-de-,Lf10,a.html dunno much about this book, but seems to be a decent price and is the book of the one of the main french sites
  21. the weight in UK is a Half Guinea, the French equivilant is the 1 pistol, earliest it could be is William III, although the style of the engraved text looks to be Georgean, so possibly as late as George II not found any referance the the marks under bust, seens + as well as a star.
  22. I stumbled across this oddity a few months ago, which may or may not fit into this thread French coin weight, however after some digging it turns out this was converted to 10s 6D weight for use over here.
