  1. not had a nice bulk buy of coins, to sort through for a good while, always fun.
  2. no, that is impossible the reverse is type 3.
  3. yup, Alphee Dubois, not that rare but a nice design. but the Halfpenny is rare, it is clear why when you know
  4. uploaded a couple more something special about this one
  5. been going through some older buys I havn't Photographed recently, one of my faves had this one a while, love the colour and the the C looking like it is going to fall off got this a couple of months back for a few quid
  6. odd thing is I have found ONE fake in the past year, so I have seen less of them.
  7. another french one, later then the first and a small german state uniface pfennig
  8. yea that one is nice. picked these up a few weeks back, £11.01 the 4. scottish Plack, couldn't really identify it fully but could only find this Design for James III early french Denier, again not found the exact details but found similar designs from 1093-1112 ad
  9. just the phrase, still think the Queen should declare herself Queen of France though. and besides, can we annex the islands if they want to stay with England and Scotland refuse? if scoltand won't be allowed the Euro or the Pound, will it be back to merks shillings bawbee plaks bodles
  10. the 1950's pennies. ouch
  11. Russian coinage is a strong market and has been for years, 50 kopecks and the roubles are the key ones rest is barely worth anything.
  12. That is just a filler design, so something is there so oyu can get a rough idea of what the reverse will look like ifyou went for a similar design to the current £1.
  13. London coins has one on thier site that they sold for £2,600 in GF says Gouby states that there are 2 known. there will be more then 2, that is just how many are known, also depends how the underlaying R fades out, the london coins one the R is as prominant as the B itself.
  14. yea i know, could have swore i put one M.. anyway anyone seen this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Unlisted-1862-Victoria-Halfpenny-B-over-R-in-BRITT-UNC-with-lustre-/201056382594?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276 1862 halfpenny B over R, High grade £4,200 take it this is a new example to the market making 3 known?
  15. you forgot that a meter is something you park at and not a unit of mesurement, and all metric measurements end with re nor er a Key is something you put in a lock, and a check has nothing to do with money (except checking ammounts)
  16. that isn't the winner, its just filler.
  17. the 1780s britannia design with the ahem loose fitting dress.
  18. I would never go off a set mintage number, but rather the mintage compared to the other issues, otherwise you start getting jersey etc as rare, and that is a nonesence, it has to be compared to other mintages of the same coin type.
  19. colourised is spelt wrong too.
  20. nothing looks interesting, but the edge looks rather bland how the hell are they going to manage all that tiny detail when they cant make any currency properly?
  21. Havn't seen this posted anywhere, was looking at the Royal mint site (checking minting figures...) and found this page http://www.royalmint.com/discover/decimalisation/unseen-ironside-designs unseen 1963 dated decimal designs, i prefer these over the actual ones
  22. not 1 but TWO of them, same Obverse effect.
  23. i sure do, had this a good while
