  6. some dies were never used, I dont think I have ever seen an unlettered 1862 with die letter B (L.C.W. in the middle, under britannia) for example
  7. plus the cleaning cant have helped. and it took me ages to find the 1968 issue, they are quite hard.

  13. there is also a weakness in strike on the opposite side to the clip sometimes. cant always see it on every coin though this is one I got recently, probably someone in 1753 got this, and lobbed it into the thames (where it was found) no way anyone could mess with it, and if you look in the opposite areas you can see slightly elongated teeth on the obverse and some lines on the reverse on the opposite side.

  17. as i said, it is simple, it is obverse 1, not obverse 2, Obverse 2 being the one used on the the ones with date in legend, there is one on colin cookes collection page. only 2 known... getting familliar... got it off ebay a fair few months back, LISTED as the mule as well, wasn't expensive. just put this here and a farthing 1679.

  21. yup, Alphee Dubois, not that rare but a nice design. but the Halfpenny is rare, it is clear why when you know
  22. uploaded a couple more something special about this one
  23. been going through some older buys I havn't Photographed recently, one of my faves had this one a while, love the colour and the the C looking like it is going to fall off got this a couple of months back for a few quid
  24. odd thing is I have found ONE fake in the past year, so I have seen less of them.
