  7. early US coins and the rare issues sell for more then they should. similar rarity UK coins in the UK market go nowhere near that, perhaps £3-4k for a decent rareity as rare as some of those US ones.
  8. nah mine has toning and everything, i prefer that to the wires because it doesnt look like a clipped piece of silver.

  10. minted on outdated equipment, just were lumps of copper, countermarked.

  12. love those pieces, got a few of the French and German issues, including the Oran (Algeria 10 centimes) £3.65, love these copper cobs. not seen many with the $ countermark, looks like 1659 date is upside down on the left. £4.
  13. there are a few differant Austrian types I think and decent zinc and tin coins do look quite nice.
  14. incendenlty i got both an 1806 and an 1807 in that lot of pennies both have the ship with the smaller flag
  15. erm... in the image the date 1439 you said is in actually 1349 in the Arabic numbers the numbers is about as far as I got.
  16. there were a few colonials wasnt the 1888 groat a colonial only issue? i find 1912H to be always better in grade then the other dates from around that period by a good margain.

  18. Russian coins have been expencive for a few years now, I went to Bulgaria a few years before the boom, could pick up 50 kopecks, etc for a few pounds, even there they cost a lot now.

  21. remains of an earlier 4 1863 penny, with an extra bit going up from the loop of the 6
