early US coins and the rare issues sell for more then they should. similar rarity UK coins in the UK market go nowhere near that, perhaps £3-4k for a decent rareity as rare as some of those US ones.
love those pieces, got a few of the French and German issues, including the Oran (Algeria 10 centimes) £3.65, love these copper cobs. not seen many with the $ countermark, looks like 1659 date is upside down on the left. £4.
there were a few colonials wasnt the 1888 groat a colonial only issue? i find 1912H to be always better in grade then the other dates from around that period by a good margain.
Russian coins have been expencive for a few years now, I went to Bulgaria a few years before the boom, could pick up 50 kopecks, etc for a few pounds, even there they cost a lot now.
