Yesterday, Noonan's sold an F13 penny with repaired E's. It was also the "short sea" variety described on Page 14 of John Jerrams' booklet on Bun Pennies. The mutliple repairs to letters and the linear circle are distinctive of this variety.2 points

I'll try it with this 1927 penny upgrade picked up the other day - nothing special and a pity about the spots, but still an upgrade on the incumbent.

Agreed. Volume of postings on here was never high but has dropped to almost zero in recent weeks. Not sure how much longer I will keep watching.0 points
