  1. Hi all !! I am very happy and proud to share you my new acquisiton . I've bought it today at a numismatic fair. It's a quite common ( but rare here in Italy ) Henry VII groat , class IIICi ( I used the Stewartby's work for the classification ) . What impressed me is the condition of this coin. Do you like it too ?

  2. Very sad , she never really enjoyed the coins then did she - so much good work ,but I surpose the coins did get passed down so you have a great momento there now too remember her with.

  3. If you're just not after bullion maybe start with Collectors coins GB for a few £ and Marsh publication for data. Gold being soft, grading and maintaining the grade should be your priority.A very pleasing series to collect.

  4. There's one not listed by Gouby, wide date 1895, still looking for a BP1901Aa

  5. You might benefit from a coin grading book and a valuation book. Both can be had for a few pounds/dollars. I have them on my phone, helps me grade coins and then get an approximate value. You could also visit various auction sites and find coins like yours to get an idea on what prices they are going for. Have fun, looks like a nice collection ! cheers Garrett.

  6. Bought an 1896 as although not into date widths this one looked wide without a lens. After buying it did a bit of looking on recent auctions etc and sent a few emails. A couple of people have had it recently who had not seen one before in reasonable condition GEF and maybe was a bit expensive but happy to keep it. The coin is in gouby as BP1896Ad and dont think they are common so wide a date.
