  1. Today
  2. A better picture of the Star Stop. ๐Ÿ‘
  3. Does seem a bit excessive. Many of them have the same 43.173. or 43.172 IP address range. I'll see what I can do.
  4. Given there are 240 guests on atm, I suspect a few more gremlins. A few will be genuine, most won't be.
  5. Notifications are still going for a hike. Stalingrad perhaps?
  6. Should be ok now. At least the liking works and I just liked all the posts above. Adding images also seems to work.
  7. I was also getting the account suspended thing. The host said the site was attacked by a DDOS attack (late on the 21st). It didn't last long but perhaps there are still a few wrinkles that need to be ironed out.
  8. Always appreciate a good workaround, Pete โ˜บ๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘
  9. I never logout so can't comment on that. However if I try to see messages or notifications, it just spins forever without letting me in to see anything. Also, I can't seem to 'Like' posts - there's just a warning message about 'reacting to this content'.
  10. Again I canโ€™t say thanks Stuart ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘, thought it was probably just me doing something wrong ๐Ÿ‘
  11. Or add images/screenshots.
  12. Iโ€™ve been getting account suspended too, and also canโ€™t react to messages.
  13. Try logging in on a different browser (or using incognito mode in Chrome, others have in private browsing too). This should allow you to see if it's a site issue or not (and hopefully allow you to reply!).
  14. Wonโ€™t even let me give you a thanks Rob ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘
  15. Looks like a site issue. I usually wait for messages and notifications before hitting the buttons, but it appears both are going for a long bike ride.
  16. Dont know if anyone can help please? I am unable to reply to messages and cant log out ? When i try to log out it says something like " Account suspended " although obviously i am in it now and have been for a few days. Hopefully makes sense and anyone who has sent me a message i am not ignoring you and just unable to reply ๐Ÿ‘.

  18. Sadly, many of his quotes are taken from my penny websites which seem to be the source of his inspiration to "find" new mint errors/varieties/etc/etc.
  19. Oh no it hasn't! I see it's back on for the same price, ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/358587103022 ) alongside a load more misleadingly described pennies including allegedly an LCW below foot (it's not) and some central cut fishtails from years or obverses when they don't exist! Whoever this is seems to have a lot of knowledge about rare penny types in principle, but then talks out of their arse in practice. Utterly bizarre... a well-read incompetent, or a sophisticated chancer?? Or create your own label...
  20. I've noticed these too, subconsciously. I hadn't really looked at the dates involved. I think I've put a few on one side. I thought it was just the post-2015 coins being struck really well. I'll have to take a closer look!
  21. Last week
  22. Hi Brodie, Iโ€™m afraid that this is a normal 1863 penny and not one of the rare varieties. In this condition it is worth scrap metal value only. Itโ€™s not so much the position of the โ€˜3โ€™ as the actual design of the โ€˜3โ€™ digit that governs the rarity. Keep searching and good luck! Jerry
  23. I dug up this coin today and did some research. Google said if the 3 has a defect it might be worth something. I think the 3 is it a slight slant and is lower than the other numbers. Comparing it to the other coins online it looks different but iโ€™m not sure if thatโ€™s just cause itโ€™s been in the ground for over 160 years. Any thoughts and opinions would be great, Thanks !
  24. As far as I can see from my old copies of Krause, all the centrally issued coinage in the name of Canada has been decimal. The earliest seem to be around 1858, although the Dominion coinage starts in 1870. There were some halfpenny and penny token issues in some of the provinces during the 19th century and even some in the denomination of "sou" derived from the French.
  25. Comparing it to my pair of 1844 crowns I'd say that's the top part of a cinqfoil. The star is larger and goes almost to trhe top of the N and I whereas the cinqfoil is smaller and goes about halfway up the letters.
  26. Without googling, I think it was from the beginning of the unified Canadian currency, c.1860s.
  27. Hello Paddy, quite right, I managed to find this on the web that someone else was looking into, a useful picture of the difference between the Cinquefoil and the Star ๐Ÿ‘
  28. aha, there's a trace of what may be Cinquefoil ? its the best image I can obtain with all the other dings included in the photo.
