British coins. Classic cars (mainly Triumph and other BL masterpieces of the 70s). Heavy old rock music from prog to metal. I still fancy Kylie Minogue.

  1. Quite an impressive first post, to say the least.
  2. It's not entirely bad, but there is certainly wear on the king's hair/beard/brow/cheek/tash/ear and on the lion's body/tail/feet and also on parts of the crown.
  3. Seems ok for me now. I did block an IP range and there are about 200 guests online at the moment. As soon as you block one though, it does virtually nothing as they use a load of different IP addresses. Don't think it's malicious at the moment. Probably training an AI or who knows.
  4. Does seem a bit excessive. Many of them have the same 43.173. or 43.172 IP address range. I'll see what I can do.
  5. Should be ok now. At least the liking works and I just liked all the posts above. Adding images also seems to work.
  6. I was also getting the account suspended thing. The host said the site was attacked by a DDOS attack (late on the 21st). It didn't last long but perhaps there are still a few wrinkles that need to be ironed out.
  7. Without googling, I think it was from the beginning of the unified Canadian currency, c.1860s.
  8. Great. A few weeks ago another that I sent to the USA was returned to me, no reason given. So I'm now a bit nervous sending to the USA. I've emailed you a PDF of the Irish book.
  9. No, I don't think it's Celtic. If it is lead then some kind of token similar to this is likely: https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/marc_breitsprecher_classical_numismatist/8/product/england_lead_token__cross/1104924/Default.aspx If it's silver then it could be Anglo-Saxon, as some of those are also similar. Perhaps someone will come along who recognises it! Fingers cross potented 🤔
  10. It certainly looks old. I tried to find images of small coins with a 'cross potent' (cross with T-shaped ends) but didn't come up with anything very similar. Maybe because parts of your original coin are missing/clipped. Could it be lead? There are some similar looking lead Henry VI-VII cross and pellet tokens.
  11. Should be ok now. Some internet nasties were attacking the old predecimal site that I kept online in a secret place.
  12. Thank you both for the orders. wlewisiii, I'll sort you out with a PDF of the Irish book over email.
