I had occasion to browse the 'Members' link and noticed a large percentage of those listed, although joining a few years back, have either only posted a couple of times - or not at all! Do you ever do a "cull" of deadwood or are they allowed to remain 'in perpetuum' ?

Chris has an occasional clear out Geordie. Particularly if there's a spate of spam. Fortunately there hasn't been for a while. But he's the only one that can actually remove members. PM him maybe?

Same here :)

Less than 200 posts? Newbies! I post and post and post and post and post, so how can I possibly be a spammer? :D

Size is not everything! :D I've been on here since 2006, so I'm certainly no newbie! I just like to stand in the shadows! ................A great forum which I'm more than pleased to have a 'small' part in!!...

I don't post every day...

I do check in several times a day....

I do post when I have something to contribute or something to say...

I think those who make a huge number of posts should be culled. Lets say more than 200 posts per annum. There are also some "serial" "re-quoters" on here as well. Some topics are 95% re-quotes of earlier quotes. And finally there are the usual suspects, who add off topic asides. They are very irritating.

I think Chris should monitor bandwidth and start charging when posters go over the limit. All proceeds, after a reasonable profit for Chris, should be redistributed to those who show posting restraint,

Perhaps we should have the equivalent to a swear box?

Every time someone says "Penny" "Halfpenny" or "Farthing" they have to put in 1p. Same with misspellings and bad grammar.

The proceeds to go to those who collect shillings and talk proper...

Shouldn't that be "talk properly"?

I think that was the point!! (British humour...)

[Apologies to AardHawk for quoting another post. I'm not going to stop, however. ]

I think anyone with a double A in the username should pay a £100 just to join :)

We can always trump him by setting up as a new member called Aaadvark :)
