absence of uniformity Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I purchased this coin for 6 pound 🙂, so cant be too upset for the light cleaning and scratches. The actual colour of the coin is typical cleaned bronze colour. Given the cleaning, scratches how would you grade the coin? Many thanks. Edited 1 hour ago by absence of uniformity Quote
wlewisiii Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm still not as good at this as I want to be but if I were putting it into my catalog, I'd note it as VF+ details obverse and VF reverse because of the wear on the high spots. There's enough of the dress, to me, to warrant VF. I wait to hear other views Quote

That's really the root of my question how does the cleaning and scratches change the grading. Quote
