Exbrit Posted Thursday at 01:19 PM Posted Thursday at 01:19 PM What do you think of the new design of the now available Queen Victoria. I am Not a fan and will pass on it. With a limited mintage of 75 for the £5 gold proof and with a price of £5,395 - it is an easy pass for me. 1 Quote
Chris Perkins Posted Thursday at 02:17 PM Posted Thursday at 02:17 PM Ghastly, but the portrait is marginally better than the recent Princess Anne. Quote

Not particularly flattering, is it? Having said that, my all time low is probably the 2002 Queen Mother £5 portrait. The first time I saw one of those, I had to do a quick check that it was a Royal Mint product and not some private enterprise output. Give Anne her dues. She is probably the hardest working royal of the 4, and I suspect has a greater sense of duty than the others. 3 1 Quote

Sword Posted Friday at 06:20 PM Posted Friday at 06:20 PM I rather like the Princess Anne portrait myself. It's quite a good likeness and she is 75 years young after all. Here is a photo of her taken this year. Quote
copper123 Posted Friday at 10:00 PM Posted Friday at 10:00 PM love anne as a person at least she seems a credit to the family 1 Quote
blakeyboy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I remember Terry Wogan interviewing her in a right obsequious manner and she wasn't having any of it. She was terrific! Quote
Paddy Posted 12 minutes ago Posted 12 minutes ago I remember a documentary in the 1960s showing the young royals preparing for Christmas decorating a tree. Anne was up a ladder and Andrew was trying to climb up with her. She turned on him and ordered "Geroutovit!" loudly. She obviously spotted a wrong'un early on! Quote
