  1. Nice one. Very Jealous Matt!!!!!! Still on the look out myself
  2. If anyone has a nice example of the Dot to Dot 1992 10p I am interested. Thanks.
  3. I have started putting all the older decimal coinage I get in my change to one side. At the rate the RM is melting it down there will be very little varieties left from circulation!
  4. I have been searching for a while. Not sure how many 1992 10p I have looked at now. Must be a fair few!!!!! Still no luck.
  5. Even it is just wear or fill doesn't really bother me. I am still looking for an example. I have been looking for quite a while and like Nordle haven't found anything near!
  6. Have to say i was bidding for the 1951! Had made my mind up that there definately wasn't any 1954!!!!!! Also still looking for an QEII with waves missing so buying a bulk lot here and there when its reasonably cheap isn't to bad
  7. Hi All, thought I would make sure I stuck this here as it has to do with PENNIES!!!!!!!!!!Dont want to upset any more of the natives. Anyway, was it anyone of the forum members who got this lot: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272094937969?ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1435.l2649 Would be very interested to see if there really was an 1954 Penny!!!!!!!(Think she may have made an error!!!) I bid but missed out at the end as I lost connection.
  8. Thanks guys. Appreciate that. I was most curious about the line above the 1. Cheers Brian
  9. Close up of the 2 features
  10. Hi All Got a bit of a curio and want to get everyones opinion. I noticed that there are a couple of unusual marks on this 1893 penny on the reverse. The dot between the trident and P of penny and also the line above the 1 in the date. just looking for general thoughts. Thanks Brian
  11. Happy New year to all. My big wish for this year is the 1911 Gouby X penny and possibly the 1903 open 3. Other than the dream factor just a few nice Edward VII pennies I am after and 1940 SE penny in good nick.
  12. Just answered this one for myself. Seems its the normal 9. Sorry for posting and thanks anyway!!!!
  13. Hi folks Is this an 1879 large 9 farthing or just the standard 9? Thanks in advance Brian
  14. Here is one of my 1862 Pennies with some of the same Die Clash. Not as extreme as yours though.
  15. That 1909 is a beauty. Also like the 1922 with trident dot. Two great finds, well done Matt.
  16. All my coins, bar 2 which were given as gifts by a site member, are raw. I have no problem with slabbing, especially for both protection and also the quality recognition of grade, etc.. The argument for and against I am sure will rage on and on. However it is a matter of personal choice. There are good and bad points to all ways of collecting.
  17. I would just like to wish everyone on the forum a very Merry Christmas and wishing you all a fantastic and prosperous New Year. Brian
  18. ? Sure he will give you a refund on the excess funds sent!!!
  19. Will look forward to hearing about and seeing your results Pete. Very interested.
  20. Thanks Mal, mine arrived safely today too. Cheers Brian
  21. So maybe £8-£10 with the wind in the right direction ? Still like the bronze stuff ? Have a load of cut halfpennies and 4 hammered pennies, all London mint and Edward, I think. Just picked them up when picking up other items. Also quite a few Roman, but I do live only 2 miles from two Roman settlements!
  22. Thanks guys. Definitely impressed. So is it worth anything at all or is it to worn. Thanks Brian
  23. I have to keep some consistency . I also like to give out a challenge. I can't even remember how I got this one. Its been in my OTHER box for a while! Just got curious.
  24. Hi All I have what I think is a short cross penny, possibly Henry II. I have no idea about hammered coinage and really wouldn't no were to begin. Could you kind folks please help me identify the coin. It is definately worn. Is it worth anything? Hope the picture is OK Thanks all in advance Regards Brian
