Serious Bowie fan too.

Hi Chris.

Very interesting. Thanks again, it's much appreciated.

So, are those trefoils on the reverse of my coin not trefoils at all but pellets flattened by wear ? They certainly don't match the pellets on your lovely coin. Is this why I was searching in the wrong place?

Fabulous! Thank you very much.

I did try again last night myself but still no luck. Is that a cross patée on the obverse, and trefoils in the reverse quarters (or maybe a ship's propellers)? I did think S1558 a possibility, but the obverses don't match. Could it be it's not a half penny and I'm looking in the wrong places?

May I also request an ID please? I've had this for years but have never known for sure exactly which it is. It's one of the Edwards, London, and, at 14mm, I assume a half penny. Can anyone (Rob?) assign a Spink number? Thanks.

I don't spot anything from Hunky Dory there though.

Then of course there's this too.....

Very nice indeed but, as I bought this one for £175 delivered, you can count me happy enough.

Then if you click on 'see other items': https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Full-Gold-Sovereign-1900-Queen-Victoria-Royal-Mail-1stClass-Special-Delivery/184720694915?hash=item2b02361e83:g:hGYAAOSwRNJgVznf But, if you check out the feedback, buyers are happy enough so who are we, what's the use, etc. etc.

The fairs are held in the main hall, the concert room is in another part of the building and is open for musical performances and recitals no more than a few times each year. It can also be booked for weddings.

Or the Frenchman who was unable to count beyond seven. Because of his huit allergy. I'll get me coat.

One year on. One of Liverpool's finest, from the concert room Dickens considered the finest in the land. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gEDLGw-9z0

All his pricing is hefty IMHO https://jonblyth.com/

That was me Chris. The owner believed it to be genuine and was distraught when told it is a modern repro. He paid genuine 1905 money for it some time ago on eBay and is now trying to get his money back. I'm told they're not being very helpful and so he's approached trading standards. I did suggest he sign up as a member here in case anyone would be able to help but he's having trouble registering. If anyone does have advice he could be messaged on eBay via the contact the seller link. I think his feedback profile attests to his fair dealing and his listing of a coin he paid a lot for believing it genuine. On being told it was fake he immediately cancelled the listing.

In 1979 I was pecked on the cheek by Mary Wilson of the Supremes. Does this count?

Never saw the Who but, same time frame, Stones (Mick Taylor era) at the Liverpool Empire '71 was pretty special. Check out the Marquee film from the same tour and the '72 US films for a taste. Then there was Ziggy's farewell tour in '73, and me touching his bare foot. With this hand, yes, this one here. Didn't cure anything, unfortunately......
