  1. £5,200. 3rd lucky 1933 find in as many years. Of course it's her: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255167767006?hash=item3b692f21de:g:WYUAAOSwcfZhKkNf
  2. If you've just eaten, I apologise. https://twitter.com/OK_Magazine/status/1422550052594147334
  3. Food for thought in an interesting new clip from Matt Williamson uploaded today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9q38CHWYNGY If you're not familiar with his channel do take a look.
  4. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294043521108?hash=item44765c1054:g:gTEAAOSwJX5fu~Vs Is not F simply the seller's assessment of grade?
  5. On each listing these statements can be found further down the page. 'Our supplier', singular, would seem at odds with the wording of those certificates of provenance. WE TAKE EVERY CARE TO ENSURE THAT THE DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS ON OUR ITEMS ARE CORRECT. HOWEVER SPECIFICATIONS AND DESCRIPTIONS OF ITEMS ON ARE LISTINGS ARE NOT INTENDED TO BE BINDING AND ARE INTENDED ONLY TO GIVE A GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM/S LISTED. ALL OF OUR COINS & ARTEFACTS ARE DESCRIBED IN THE WAY THAT WE PURCHASE THEM FROM OUR SUPPLIER. IF WE HAVE NOT INCLUDED THE DATING OF AN ITEM IN THE TITLE OR DESCRIPTION IT IS BECAUSE WE CANT SAY FOR CERTAIN THE DATING OF THE ITEM. IT IS PREFERABLE NOT TO PROVIDE DATING ON MANY OCCASIONS AS TO NOT MISLEAD THE CUSTOMER.
  6. I see a number of people are bidding on his 'ancient' Greek offerings too. Mind you, all come with one of those certificates of provenance and you can't put a price on peace of mind...... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313618758283?hash=item4905227a8b:g:eLUAAOSwOfdhAS8h https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313618953554?hash=item4905257552:g:oaIAAOSwwatg5cOm
  7. What makes you think it's clipped? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184924732438?hash=item2b0e5f7c16:g:cH0AAOSwdpRg40wG
  8. The only other example (Nicholson/Peck) known to me. Sold through LCA 04/12/2011. .
  9. Nothing Mike, I simply wanted to join the conversation.
  10. I found this while making brekkie this morning. If 'That's Life' was still on telly I'd probably be considering sending it to Esther Rantzen....
  11. Every member of the team a credit to their families, their communities, their country. Let's just hope the morons who wrecked Leicester Square earlier today don't go on a booze fuelled rampage tonight. European till I die.
  12. I'm chuffed to have recently acquired this from Joe Lee. In many years of looking this and the Nicholson coin (ex Peck) are the only two examples I've ever seen.
  13. From the same seller: Plenty of lustre, good extremely fine. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265200000574?hash=item3dbf26de3e:g:TYsAAOSwt6FgzIDD
  14. So, not quite this then. An oldie, but always worth another look....

  16. Serious Bowie fan too.
  17. Very interesting. Thanks again, it's much appreciated.
  18. So, are those trefoils on the reverse of my coin not trefoils at all but pellets flattened by wear ? They certainly don't match the pellets on your lovely coin. Is this why I was searching in the wrong place?
  19. Fabulous! Thank you very much.
  20. I did try again last night myself but still no luck. Is that a cross patée on the obverse, and trefoils in the reverse quarters (or maybe a ship's propellers)? I did think S1558 a possibility, but the obverses don't match. Could it be it's not a half penny and I'm looking in the wrong places?
