  1. The decimal portrait being used in '66!

  3. Then cancelled a re-listing in which he'd upped the starting price to £100. That 'Only sell when times are tough son' fake 1933 1d of his sold almost two weeks ago yet there's still no feedback for it. Interesting
  4. On having taken a quick shufty, here's what I've spotted.
  5. Further temptations from the same seller. Look at these beauties Chris! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1953-to-1967-Elizabeth-2-Two-Shilling-Florins-Choice-of-Date/163314660997?hash=item26064ff685:g:IOQAAOSwr5dbugOr:rk:11:pf:0

  9. The item I was commenting on has ended. If you click 'view original item' top right, you'll be able to see it.

  12. Do you think he's now hoping to draw interest with a shill bid? Anyone viewing his item would see the page includes many examples of the same repro being offered much more cheaply. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123397155401?_trksid=p2471758.m4704
  13. Not fair! We were asked to scrutinise the ad circled. Surely, going on what we were given, my Texas observation and Youtube findings win the coconut.
  14. If you enter www.Human-Bait.com you get the Youtube Bot Dings thing.
  15. Texas? You'd be a long time looking so far South as there. Er, well, for that matter, you'd be a long time looking anywhere...
  16. Ah, of course. The Spink 2807 sixpence is dated 1628. My apologies. I have a S2806 (1625), and hadn't taken the time to look further. Rob's y'man.
  17. Unfortunately, no. No value in those. Sorry.
  18. Sixpence or shilling bearing the castle or Anchor for 1627-1629. The others? Shilling for the 1725. Copper half pennies would be your easiest route for 45/48/53
  19. Sixpences dated 1606 are available. Dates 1725/45/48/53 are available in various denominations. No English coins were minted bearing the date 1628, though years of production are identified by the mint marks used. 1627-28 Castle 1628-29 Anchor 'I'm a writer about Vampires.' I must say, that's terribly clunky syntax from someone describing themselves as a writer!
  20. The1933 penny, 'Son, sell only when times are hard' etc. etc. On it goes….
  21. It does indeed. However, good condition, and retailing at £1000. What a missed opportunity! From the same seller: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Elizabeth-II-Halfpenny-1982/132762510767?hash=item1ee94325af:g:M4EAAOSwq4lbCEy9
  22. On it goes. I really need to get out more...
  23. I find I have a genuine 1879M. The Ebay fake is awful. A fool and his money are soon parted...
  24. A reply to my message. Does he think I've taken the bait?...
  25. A scarcity of small change in the 1790s wasn't anything new. Here's my nicest token from the mid previous century.
